I love KBG! I have learned though, it really loves its N and needs more of it, more often than my Fescue for sure to keep it happy. Especially when you are cutting it short. I look forward to the renaming of your channel to Primetime KBG! One of the best things about KBG, you never have to overseed it. I had a crazy amount of die off this summer and it's almost completely filled in and recovered without putting any seed down.
🤣🤣 Primetime kbg will never happen lol. I love my fescue and I don’t have the patience to grow 30,000 sqft of kbg. I totally agree about the nitrogen. Most grasses that spread are more nitrogen hungry by nature.
I also did a full reno of KBG with 365ss and total eclipse this fall. From some guys in the groups and google searches showed that pre emergents will inhibit spreading in kbg because it stops cell division. Really don’t want to use pre emergent in the spring and just push N and use a pgr / wetting agent.
I love me some kbg. I overseeded my neighbors yard on 10/8 and 2 sections of my yard with a 90/10 blend, it's definitely looking good and ready for a mow.
That KBG looks like it’s 🔥 I have 50%midnight and 50% after midnight they look insanely good and I live in Illinois where it thrives in cold weather good job you won’t regret ever seeding with KBG.
So this is even amounts of Midnight, After midnight, and Acoustic. It’s definitely getting better. Not completely impressed with the color but it’s still very young yet.
It's a nice looking turf for sure, but in my case I prefef TTTF simply because of less maintenance. .625 inch is a lot of dedication, time, and money regardless of the season. I can't imagine during drought.
I will be completely honest as of now it’s the easiest grass I’ve ever grown besides Bermuda lol. It’s a nightmare to get going but for me it’s been way less maintenance than fescue. Seems less disease prone so far and it was planted dead heat of the summer. I want keep it at .625” in the summer probably be 1 to 1.5”

Looks great. Next summer will be the real test. Very interested to see how this all plays out.
Will see what happens no doubt it will be a challenge!
Looks phenomenal!! Im sure youll take excellent care of it in the summer. I have zero doubts itll do just fine.
🙏
Never thought I'd spend 10 minutes staring at grass but here I am
🤣🤣 thanks for the stare 🤣🤣

Next year it will definitely shine like a new penny and gets better year after year 👍
KBG looks good! I mixed STARR KBG in my TTTF. Hit that area with a Nitrogen app to keep the clover from coming up.
🙏 it’s getting there slowly
looks awesome
It’s getting there thanks!

I know you have a well, I am 100% done with KBG. Way too thirsty for my bank account 😂
That’s completely understandable!!
Looking good. Did you figure what to do where the tree was?
Got a big rock going in the middle over stump that will be a focal point and do some kind of plants around it not made my mind up yet exactly
What variety kbg Brad
I mixed my own seed but I used 3 different cultivars. They were Acoustic, After midnight, and Midnight
