I've heard people ask why the records of the 50s and 60s got that lush sound, and this is literally the answer. No digital reverb, they'd have huge halls or echo chambers, sometimes complicated tunnels, miked and mixed in with the original source sound to give it this dreamy quality. Beautifully played, and a beautiful quality. Thanks for this!
I'm excited about physical modeling technology for exactly that reason. Getting that beautiful lush sound without needing to find spaces like this is wonderful especially for people who don't have any near them (me)

I love this so much. Nobody around. Peace. It truly sounds like, an end.. And that Reverb is perfect. Not echoey, but REVERBEY and a crisp clear sound - without interference. And I feel like this music is so forgotten and nostalgic because it's so 'un-modern', but it really wasn't that long ago. Less than 100 years and sounds like both older and newer. It's like a generation we lost.. A generation we forgot, a time.. that didn't matter apart from history.
I remember listening to this song on a dock in the darkness of night, wondering if I'd ever feel those lyrics without a sense of loneliness. Now fast forward a few years and it's one of the first songs I danced to with my girlfriend, it's funny how music changes from time to time
Honestly I just received some really hard news, and I’m at my breaking point. I clicked on this because I remembered this song being comforting to me and I just want to say thank you, idk where i’d be if I hadn’t heard this.

I cannot help but hear a quiet, distant angelic singing in the background. Like I am dying, not from battle nor from age or sickness, but as if I have accepted my death and called upon it myself. I am tired, and I rest one last time, to dream eternity forever. I like it.
Ngl, this song made me cry a little. I had a good childhood growing up with the same friend group for years, and when one of my best mates stopped chatting, i got quite sad. maybe nobody will read this, but, this is what I want in my funeral, right now I'm very far away from that whole event that eventually will happen one day, but, this song gives a sense of comfort, even tho I know I'll end up alone, I know I will, since I'm the youngest, everyone will leave, and I'll be left there, maybe in a nursing home, this song makes me think of that, if I could see myself as that old lady, I would finally give her the company she wanted for so long, the one I will crave in the future
A while ago I went to the abandoned pa turnpike. Thought it’d be fun to walk the whole thing in a day, and tbh, it was. I had a cassette player on me, with a couple songs loaded up.
