    Even tho this is an older tutorial, I found it to be an excellent explanation of SA2!

    I've only been using my Stitch Artist 2 for a couple of hours and your videos are extremely helpful. I'm already putting some of my designs into the program and created the stitch out files. Thank you so very much. Sew In Common - Diana

      @@stitchinghoney You really should. You understand what it is machine embroiders need to know. I've been a machine embroider for six years and I customize for myself and others quite a lot so I understand how things are built, but I've recently decided to learn digitizing and your video was fantastic. I've since made several projects and am digitizing my physical applique line into ME files. I've seen your Etsy page before and was glad to see you doing this video. Take care. Diana-

    What a great tutorial!. Just purchased Stitch Artist 1, and thoroughly confused myself by attempting to read and understand the technical parts of the manual ---- TMI. You have a talent for making the technical component of this software understandable at a new-user level.
    I truly hope that you can continue with this Stitch Artist series.

    For what it's worth, you can upgrade to the next level at any time for just the difference in price. You're not penalized for starting smaller. I started with 2.

    I am ready to purchase Stitch Artist. I have no idea which of the 3 levels I should consider buying. Why did you chose Level 2? I guess I am trying to avoid buying Level 2, and then realizing Level 3 has something I needed as I progressed in my learning. I saw a graph comparing properties of the 3 levels. Great, but I have NO idea what the features actually do, so how can I use that information? I already purchased Essentials which I LOVE, but don't want to buy another independent program and find out later I should have gotten the next level. If I understand why you purchased Level 2, that may help me decide. To give you an idea of my background, I have machine embroidered @ home on a single needle machine for about 12 years. I am presently doing 15 needle machine embroidery for a small mom and pop shop (for the last year and 1/2). I am a very creative person and would like to do my own designs for a clothing line in the future. I want to master digitalizing but more interested in the product than the process to get there. In other words I know I have to take time to learn it, but don't want to waste any more time than necessary. lol Thank you.

    Hi Melissa - thank you for all your valuable information! I've got a question for you being a newbie in stitch artist 1...is there a way to add an outline in a word design in stitch artist level one, or is this a feature only available in level 3? I've been admiring the outline in your designs and wanted to fiddle with it, but unless I draw my own outline step by step it never comes out exact which isn't very professional looking. If you know a better way please let me know - I'd greatly appreciate it! Thank you beforehand 👍 looking forward to your next video!

      I BELIEVE that's in level 3, it's called "logical AND" ?? Sorry, I never use that as I manually add outlines. :-) Join the Facebook group "StitchArtist Digitizing Fans" and ask for clarity! Thanks for watching!

    Can you show how to “trace” import a letter from an silhouette design or I guess a png file? I’m so new at this? I did a design in silhouette studio and I want to copy the letters I used. For the life of me, I can remember the tt I used!

    • @stitchinghoney
      @stitchinghoney  3 роки тому +1

      You just need to apply nodes to outline the letters just like you would any other object. It's helpful to remember the TTF, BUT the automatic tool to apply nodes to TTF letters gives you waaay too many nodes so it's best to just outline them yourself, in my opinion.
