@@tcmotovlogs994 it definitely is a kids bike. I kept mine in the family for my little brother. But I still ride it every now and then. I’m 155-160 and 5’10 and it’s still a little small. I would definitely go for a 125 if I were you. But you could definitely still mess around on a little 80
my friend and i were riding our bikes in '81 and he fell & broke his leg - He never rode it again ... Talked to him a few months back and he STILL has it ! --- We were 13 and we're now in our 50's ...
Those XR 80s had a big ole tailpipe right near the seat... my cousin burned his leg bad. And one of my beat friends also burned his thigh, they had to take skin from elsewhere on his body to path the legburn! Not broken legs but I know what ya mean
Man. The memories. I had an XR80, in I believe 1984, maybe '85... was 9 going on 10. I lived on that thing lol. And when I was with friends I switched my the ole non motorized bike, my beloved GT Mach One. I miss that era fully.
Had one of these @ my grandmas when I was a kid. Dad found a straight dirt road for me down in the woods along the train tracks. When he found out the fucking thing topped out at around 90km/h he forbid me to go there anymore. I went there anyway ☺️.
Sweet runner! .you turned the gas off horizontally...? I just bought one of those to fix n KEEP! Hah..i like that your fixin bikes i do the same but i haven't sold any yet i love em too much. but someday
thanks for sharing. Just bought a 2001 XR80 so looking around at videos. Im curious about the air-cooled Yamaha with the Mono-shock. what year is it? and what is it. the pipe makes me think its a 125 but it has a Mono-shock which didnt show up until 1981 but those were liquid cooled
Average 1969 camaro cost 3,000 new now you couldn’t get a rusted out piece of shit for that if you want one that looks new would be 20k would be on the low end for a base model nowadays and way up if you actually wanted something like a copo or something they bring like a hundred grand it would’ve been a hell of an investment if someone would’ve only knew back then I have a gun that cost $8.95 back in 1940’s now try to get one would be a 600 for a decent one I have a few things like that shit really makes you think .... times changes shit changes and inflation goes way tf up nowadays
i just sold a 81 honda xr80 for $1100 the other day. Me personaly when i buy a used dirtbike i always replace front and back tires, chain, front and back sprockets so the new owner doesn have to worry about that stuff.
Thank you so much for the information I will probably look forward to a kx 85 cr 85 crf 100 or klx 140... I got sized a while ago and I don't fit on a 125
I've had a 1985 xr80r since I was 8, I'm now 29 and still have it and plan on restoring it this summer. Beautiful bike 🔥

The perfect bike for Charlie lol
Austin Harp yeah it really is, he can probably barely handle the little bit of power that thing has
@2vintage I don't understand why you but all these old bikes but won't look for a trx250r Lt 500 or Lt 250
Kiwiz Mountain Bike because too expensive expensive instead buy two or three bikes..
Kiwiz Mountain Bike I don't think they'll get any 500

$600, that bike didn't cost that much when it was new.

I'd love the YZ100, shame i'm in the UK!
The 80cc Honda should be pretty fast for such a small bike with knobby tires. I had a Honda S-90 and it went 55mph. Or 60 with the wind to my back :-)
thanks guys. good content* it's what i love to watch. home bussiness motorcycles
Lol you turn the gas off for some reason and then you're surprised that it runs out of gas

Walter Morgenroth that's every bike that it isn't adjusted right
