  • My Buddy's EMTB wasn't right so I took his bike apart and found a issue with the motor mounts. Looking thru various forums I see we are not the only ones Having this issue 😬. So I took the motor out of two more bikes and seen the same issue. You want to catch this prior to something breaking. Its not a hard fix. Only takes a couple of hours. You are going to need a M6 x 1.0 tap and a drill bit , Also get a bottom tap as well so you can tap the hole all the down. Use the bottom tap after you use the standard tap. The Holes in the brackets seem to be drilled for M6's , so no need to drill the brackets out The M5's will wobble out the holes after some time on the bike if not caught in time. The 1st bike actually had two broken bolts which I used Easy outs to remove them , Not good. I have read that newer Bosch motors have M6's bolts in them now , But I can't confirm that . Also get yourself some good 10.9 bolts , don't get cheap bolts (break easy) or S.S bolts (as they tend to stretch) So good luck and I Hope this helps and Ride on :)

Do you know if the motors are interchangable?

Do you mean CX and a CX race ? From what I heard they just made the CX rave lighter buy using different material for the cases . So really not sure
