The idea is that, say you were challenged to a game of pick-up basketball for high stakes against what could possibly be the current western conference all-star team. You are almost out of your mind to not get the 92' dream team regardless of who shows up to a game that may not even happen. But you have to pay
Like many things in our society, the legal system is broken. Lawyers get away with a lot of padding as it's impossible to verify how many hours they really worked. There needs to be a lot more transparency. But, given that lawyers are in charge of the legal system, I doubt that it's going to change. Why would lawyers change the legal system to be more accountable? Or, why would politicians to change politics to be more accountable.
At 600$-2000$ per hour depending on the lawyer's experience since June 2021 it's not crazy. Just the time needed to review the claim and the material (videos, tweeter ...) it's 30-50 hours so 18k$. The back and forth with the other attorney, preparing legal documents, filing legal documents, pre-hearing with a judge or conciliation judge ... you burn fast cash.

You can always negotiate with lawyers fees. They are always extremely bloated, lawyers are inflating hours. They charge out hours that are not possible, there isnt enough time in the day for all the cases they have. They round up, 5 min convo to 15 min , 30min or even 1 hr. You really must not pay out of pocket so much. Negotiate. They will take less.

But in all seriousness I hope things get better for you Spencer, hands down you are one of my favourite UA-camrs ever and I hate to see this happen.
As viewers we need to support these guys as much as we can as they saved a lot of people from having their livelihoods ruined over these social media guru scammers who prey on the weak and desperate they make millions from ponzi scams, crypto scams, Sports betting, Ecommerce etc and after they make their millions they invest and disappear while their victims are left in the negatives with nothing
7:58 why wouldn't you have insurance, media lawsuit liability insurance in your capacity as a fraud and unethical revealing UA-camr ? That's so illogical.
Spencer, you will prevail. Many others would not have been able to persevere and deal with the the stress of litigation. Long-term, you'll be fine. You deserve everyone's respect.
Long time subscriber and fan. Absolutely deplorable this guy sued you for his wrongs. However it makes sense given his biz practices. I hope you come out on top and get your attorney fees back, possibly counter sue and win a judgment. Then put it into another property and call it Moneyberg Lane or something. Keep your chin up. It’s hard to imagine anyone can’t see whose right and wrong here. Side note (jokingly)-Did he bill you for the hour he was on this call? Lol
Big fan of your channel Spencer, hope this ends in your favor soon. You use your knowledge for good, and have most likely saved a lot of people a lot of money in raising awareness of scams. Never stop what you do.
I'm seeing a lot of comments pushing the narrative that Spencer is a millionaire, he can afford it etc... Realise that Spencer is a UA-camr and he's busted his ass to make consistent content for over three years on this channel in this super complicated niche helping people to avoid scams whilst also helping his audience through his knowledge about finances and real estate etc... He has been transparent since the beginning about his earnings (which is very rare on youtube) sharing his journey with his audience and through his hard work and persistence he has grown his channel to what it is today. Does that make him a MilLioNaire? As he has said NO. He went above and beyond by not monetising his audience beyond the bare minimum of Adsense and then he was crucified simply after he made an opinion piece about the FTX scandal and a lot of two brain celled people accused him of "scamming" through paid sponsorships which he had to take simply to pay the lawyer fees, "he's not the same". WTF are you on about. Do you realise how much $282,000 is and the stress that is created by a never ending two year lawsuit that has likely constantly been haunting him. Do you think being a UA-camr and turning on Adsense automatically puts 10 million dollars in your bank account? Look at his videos where he literally publishes his earnings and do the math with the lawyer fees and lawsuit. Do you think uploading weekly or several times a week is free? Not at all he has to pay editors and likely a whole team now to help him research and script new videos. And at this point with current Adsense he is likely making a loss on his videos as he has stated on top of the lawyer fees and lawsuits. If you think it's a one man job and that it's easy I encourage you to try and replicate what he does by yourselves and you'll realise it's not as easy as it seems. And any attempt of him making money beyond measly Adsense gets him labelled a "scammer" in this niche by some people. He hasn't asked for help once in two years with this monumental sum which he never expected and shows the massive flaws in the legal system where whoever is richer can bully you into submission and create an enormous situation tearing your life apart even if you've done nothing wrong. He's paid that whole sum by himself up until this point and has stayed silent about it despite the massive emotional impact that this has created for him for the past two years. So please put yourselves in his shoes and realise that he's been in a living nightmare for a while and donate whatever you can to the cause to help support Spencer and help him win this case and to finally be done with it. And although this sounds like an elaborate PR piece I'm just a long term viewer that has followed him since the beginning and who really feels for him in this situation. Good luck Spencer and we're with you 💪
it was disheartening seeing a lot of comments of people claiming I'm begging for money. They have no understanding of how much of a toll this has taken on me. you certainly seem to understand how daunting this process has been. my adsense is down to around $3,100 a month. I've spent $60,000 MORE than I've made so far in 2023, meaning I've paid the average US salary so far this year to make content. and I'm one of the few youtubers who actually took the expenses on the chin for a lawsuit without asking for help. and then when i ask for a little help, i get blasted.

my adsense is down to about $3,100 a month and sponsors are real hit or miss (all of advertising is down big). I'm trying to generate income to fight this. I've spent $60,000 more this year than I've made.
You could tell you were very passionate and emotional from the very beginning of the video. Hopefully you can countersue him and recover the money you've spent on your attorney.
Damn. Only $975 bucks in your gofundme. I’m sorry you’re going through this. Luckily you’re young, I’ve lost more money due to other people, but made it back, hopefully you’ll do the same
There’s an old saying to paraphrase…never mess with a man’s income. Unless there’s super solid evidence of a scam these creators who are trying to expose scams or review products etc are just opening themselves up to liability. And even if there might be something to the scam claim like your lawyer says just the sheer cost of litigation makes it too risky if the other party sues.
So he should just let the malicious people continue there well constructed scams? So that they can benifit off the elderly, vulnerable and uneducated? There's an old saying to paraphrase... To stand there and observe evil and wrong doing and ignore it in complicity, is evil and wrong itself. Yes, many are comfortable with what you are suggesting, but others are not. And those who are not, and will not, have the support of many. Throughout history, we've seen men of moral integrity and justice are the catalysts of change. Change that is honorable, encouraging, and admired by all. Precisely the opposite intent of the malicious wrongdoers he, Spencer, first observed. Should the world, just have stood by, allowing Hitler to continue his atrocities? Lest we incure his wrath for criticizing his greed?
283k in Attorney's fees, and counting? That, Spencer, is the REAL crime.
What was funny was when Spencer asked his lawyer why does he cost so much, his lawyer replied "that's the way it is" 😂😂😂

I feel you on this man. I’m currently suing 3 parties over a house I bought where the seller lied on the disclosure and a lien not being caught by the title company. It’s been 3 years and every single party has dragged it out as much as possible. I’m tens of thousands in the hole atm (will look to recoup from seller) but the system will bring you down even if you’re 100% in the right
No title insurance??😰
@@arh1234 They denied the claim (twice) saying it wasn't a real lien. The city begged to differ and wanted the money lol. They were one of the parties I sued.
This is a criminal tring to sue an innocent person. You shouldn't be stressed. You dont even need to cross your fingers. Yes its gonna get expensive but you're gonna come out victorious. Its very clear. As you said. You are not even shady
Don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone happy to be sued beside Spencer 😂 give em hell bruh
This is young guy and he is stressed to the max.
Someone did not read the room.
$250k before trial is crazy. They are milking you…
His lawyer probably prays they go to trial if you ask me lol
I know you’ll come out on top, but I can’t imagine how difficult this must be for you. Gave what I could. I know you will pull through- I just hope that it is over soon!
I’m not surprised. I mean… When you go after people’s reputations and the way they make a living for a career/hobby/whatever, one can only assume that someone will eventually come for yours.
Exactly
You look stressed and pissed off, don’t worry I’m sure it will work itself out! Keep it up and i wish you all the best 🙏
Hang in there Spencer. You didn’t deserve this but it def builds character. Hoping for a good outcome for you soon
It's the banana man dating coach! 😅
@@Kwan4132 yep
Unrelated: loved your Fatman Scoop videos. It is awesome to hear about other people's life experiences/advice.
Thank you for still moving forward through this unnecessary and unwarranted stress. We love your content and you've saved many people from scams.
I’m finishing up a legal situation this week. Truly one of the most stressful things ever. Especially when facing prison time for something you didn’t do. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Hang in there.
This was bound to happen eventually
He couldn’t have truly thought he would be this critical and poke fun off so many people and nobody would come for him… Could he?
I’m happy this has happened. I hope he gets sued for everything.
@@SeekoGT Being critical of deceitful youtubers, who take advantage of the vulnerable and uneducated. Yeah, eventually someone will respond aggressively. But he will have the support of thousands, if not millions of people. People who will stand with others who admire demonstrated integrity. And integrity is precisely what the subjects of his criticism lack. For it is much easier to defend the truth than it is a lie. And the majority can see that. And what does the malicious subjects of his criticism have for support? A limited amount of money gotten through ill gains. And the few, unfortunate and ignorant victims still trapped by the by the subjects deceit. Scared to admit they are wrong for it would mean they've foolishly lost their own security. And the subjects own cronies, who probably are the only ones that have benefited from the scam, since they are not in Spencer's crosshairs.
Yep. Is it worth it? If people want to be conned, let them be conned.
We’re rooting for you Spencer! It sucks that this sort of thing has happened to you but we know you’re gonna bounce back stronger! 🖤
I'm being threatened with lawsuits by multiple people for exposing their scams as well. It's great you're not backing down. I think fighting back allows you to expose them even more in court and then you can share it with your audience. Keep fighting the good fight.
Didn't know you existed, gonna go binge your channel now, love me some scam exposing
@@qwerty_artist Thanks. Just got a cease and desist letter about the FAMCO video I made.
Spencer, I really enjoy hearing you talk things into existence. It’s great practice. Prepare yourself for all possible options not to fear your outcome, but to prepare for a even bigger victory. You’ll win, even if you don’t right away. Is just a matter of time. The journey will be full of stress and pressure, but remember that pressure makes diamonds. The win, will be sweet. The journey even sweeter. Capitalize on any opportunity on this journey. Good luck brother, sending good vibes and positive outcomes!
Interesting and at times hilarious video. I donated. Keep up the great work Spencer. The world needs people who help expose people who try to take advantage of other people.
Wish you the best bro! Sucks to see you deal with this man :/
There're dodgy lawyers that also help scammers to sue critics
Spencer you will get through this and it will be a great video when it is all said and done! I hope you win the Anti SLAPP lawsuit and this dipstick hamburgler bully has to pay all your legal fees!
Thank you Spencer, for everything you do for your audience.
curious. can you give some examples?
Been here since the beginning its great seeing you take the scammers down
From Spencer's mannerisms here you can tell he's definitely been shaken up by this whole ordeal.
I hope you win this case and continue making the great content that you do.
I tried to make it not so obvious lol
@@SpencerCornelia hang in there! We' re rooting for you!
UA-cam been mad lately, first Magnates Media now my boy Spencer as well... Damn man.
My experience is that there are lawyers that would have cost 1/10th as much that would have been sufficient for this case.
link!
Wow! That’s crazy! Your videos are very well done and it’s crazy someone can sue you and you have to spend so much to prove your innocence..
I hope this case is DISMISSED!! Asap!!
the legal system is incredibly bloated. we won the case and i'll be making a video on it soon. it was a stupid frivolous case
You can clearly feel that this situation hasn't been comfortable for him. Full support spencer !
I stand with you Spencer! I hope it gets better soon.
this is why liability insurance is needed! just having it can make scammers think twice about spending all that money on a baseless lawsuit
Mmm.. maybe. I feel like bullies may not care but they might.
Well your premium will go up for life. And as a youtuber this would have to be very specific cover
Good luck to you Spencer. Praying for you to get through this.
Sad that this still isn't over yet but rooting for you!
Let’s go Spencer 💪🙏not letting the bully get their way
i think the fatal mistake most exposing youtubers make is lawsuits people dont sue anymore because they are right or wrong its a weapon for the rich to destroy someone you waste there time, money and stress them out the only purpose anyone should sue is to slowly bankrupt your enemies.
I thougth everyone knew that Moneyberg was a scammer. I had no idea anyone was unaware of the level of depravity the man would sink to.
Good Luck Spencer, when I am on my feet more ill make a donation, things been rough so far this year.
I'm 10,000 miles away and somewhat immune, but this still scares me as I've called out very questionable MLM schemes. Have watched your last 70 videos. Just donated. All the best Spencer!
Did your lawyer bill you for an hour for the interview
This is on some Billy Mitchell type beat, two absolutely deplorable humans that use lawsuits as a means of silencing anyone who revels the facts behind them.
If someone sues you for a thousand dollars, it's your problem. If someone sues you for a million dollars, it's their problem.
Well clearly not as it s affecting dearly Spencer ...
The most american sentence ever
Money is relative to each person and their income, i dont understand this at all
This is only true for people have no money… judgements can be garnished so this is a problem.
@@gotritons27 This means that it's more of a burden for the person suing you.
Lol
haha I made sure that this podcast was seen as a business expense for marketing
Isn't crazy that the lawyer says the best way to avoid a lawsuit is ( don't talk). Feels like freedspeech to me haha
Prayers‼️ You don’t deserve this mess‼️🙏🏾💯
Don't stress. 2 million ain't nothing to a big dawg. Moneyberg has a hard on for you he's a goober. Your lawyer seems smart and energetic
If it was nothing, there would not be a GoFundMe…… lol 😂

You got this Spencer! Good video! I didn't get bored haha!
So sorry to hear about all this. Can you counter sue for attorneys fees??
we cover this in the video
If you win the loser has to pay your attorneys fees.
Did you even watch the video
This explains why spencer started to sell Real Estate Courses. It seems he is trying to make up funds. We should donate to the goFundMe so at least he can bounce back and help others fight similar issues. This happens wayyy too often where bullies do this.
my adsense is down to about $3,100 a month and sponsors are real hit or miss (all of advertising is down big). I'm trying to generate income to fight this. I've spent $60,000 more this year than I've made.
Moral of the story is always Make sure your money is right before you go to war.
Hope u come out on top man
I can see Spencer's angst. Not an easy place to be in. Hope you get out of this with your money back.
Randazzo is a great firm, had a few run ins as a paralegal against them and they were consistent and relentless.
That’s probably the best and most brutal accolade to give to a firm. Happy to hear they’re covering our man, Spencer!
You could tell you were very passionate and emotional from the very beginning of the video.
Hopefully you can countersue him and recover the money you've spent on your attorney.
We are all praying for you to win🙏🏾 I’m excited for the podcast after you win💪🏿
The amount this dude makes from youtube and he's asking for a handout with a gofundme. Wow. That's low.
how much do you think I make?
if you knew all this in advance, would you have given him a settlement?
He’s not guilty
Q. Why does litigation cost so much?
A. Because it's expensive.
Lawyers gotta lawy
Keep fighting the good fight, Spencer. I like that you keep exposing these fake gurus for who they really are...con artists.
Damn. Only $975 bucks in your gofundme. I’m sorry you’re going through this. Luckily you’re young, I’ve lost more money due to other people, but made it back, hopefully you’ll do the same

Not giving a dime to someone much richer than me...there are more people worthy of donations than a millionaire UA-camr
Hope you get your costs back buddy, this is an incredible story, Rj in Oz
Stay strong bro!! It will end good for you! Love from Amsterdam.
