Thanks for the tip about grease the two brass end balls and the cam too, 👍 I've got a New Holland 276 baler and looking at yours I see something's have not changed on the design ! I wonder if Blake of GuyinWY is turning into a baler hoarder or ChuckE2009 baler is going work this time. Lol
We had a few come in the shop, mostly just for maintenance items. The only issue I know of is you need a large tractor with ground clearance to clear the windrow. Also a short pin helps to
Good day What type of knot do you use when tying balls together. Yesterday I had to pickup a bale of sisal because plastic stop tying. Many yrs. ago baler mechanic came out & my bro. saw I didn't. Left over right & under, but then he took each end & push them together & roll & pulled, smallest knot. He was told by ferguson to do it that way. We always use sguare knot. Thanks
Our John Deere 348 is bad for collecting chaff on the knotters. We used to have a NH 311 and I was baling when the pipe broke between the hay sweep tines that puts hay in the chamber. That was not a pretty sound. Sounded like a very loud shotgun blast. Is the moisture sensor pretty accurate to what a probe tester is? Haven't really seen much about baler mounted moisture sensors before. With our NH 311 if the hay was too wet it would miss knots. With our JD 348 it will bale anything you feed it lol I've accidentally made bale bricks before
I had changed the gear oil last year. The plunger knives I am going to replace probably this winter. The clearance is pretty good and The knives themselves are not banged up, but they have been sharpened quite a few times
Bailer looks like it be taken care of. Good tips.👍🏻
Needs a wax job ;)
I will be getting our balers ready soon. Hopefully cutting hay tomorrow! Didn't rain much here today.
Yea I think we will be on the same schedule tomorrow.
Good vid! Lots of info. The last baler I worked on was a Massey wire tie. Talk about a nightmare! Don't see to many wire bakers anymore.
BALERS not bakers Lol!

Yea there’s getting to be quite a few videos on Baler repair. That’s good for guys who have trouble
Your right there ! 👍
I just bought a new Holland 315 Baylor does a nice job but I'm not sold on the thrower yet. I had a deer with a pen kicker
I baled with one of those once. It was odd to me the way it threw the hay, but it worked.
First kick baler I ran was the Deere. I ran it for 8 years so new Holland set up seems awkward to me. lol
Love to know your thoughts and opinions on inline balers, as maybe you've had the chance to work on/with them.

Just found your channel, great videos i have a lot of watching to do now haha
Thanks welcome to the channel!
Same here, 3 years later!
We got a older big square baler and it tied in a foot-and-a-half of loose alfalfa leaves, no fans on it to blow the shit out either
Good looking baler
Thanks yea it’s been working pretty good for me

Yea I just use the square knots
Great vid looks a nice baler
So far I had more trouble with the twine than the baler
What do you have in your tool box for your 565 Baler? Shear Pins? ?? Thanks Steve
Yea and misc parts, you know in the years I owned it, I never broke a shear pin

I did a video back when I first started of the install. It’s not bad. Pretty close to the probe tester.
How do you feel about the NH 269 baler? It has a bale thrower. Looking to get started on a 5 acre field.
I had a 275 model. I guess it’s similar. It was a good Baler, wished I still had it
That thrower must be an east coast thing, they don't exist here in Indiana.
Yea the videos from the mid west I never see any. All the farms I worked on had them. My grandad had one in 1961
Nobody has bothered you about this in a long time, so I figured Id stir the pot. Face reveal at 3k? HAHAHAHAHAHA
I think if you watch his anniversary video, you may see a picture or 2 of him LoL
I’m the “Faceless Farmer” my New identifier.
Ever seen a ford 250 baler?
Can’t be sure of the model, I have seen a few ford balers before
how often do you change the gear box oil? and how often do you shim and sharpen the main plunger knife? thanks peter

i have to do the plunger work on my 570 but it looks like a job for some one small
I pressure washed our big square baler wants never again
Why is that a Ford simbel
Yep. I used to run a 5635 tractor. It said Ford New Holland on the hood
