Same here with bwking54. Trying to replace the spring, but with great difficulty. Would it help to remover the bolt that goes thru the frame the spring attaches to first? If so, then how do your stretch the spring to get the bolt back in place. You mentioned the spring has a lot of tension. You got that right! Plus not the best design to work on. We have a 565 baler and absolutely no room inside the housing frame to work tools or hands to get spring back in place. Hope you can help.
Hey there, did you end up figuring out how to get the spring on? If I remember correctly I removed the needle latch mechanism itself. Attached the spring on the back bolt and the needle latch. I then proceeded to use a bar on the needle latch to pull the latch into place where I could drop its mounting bolt in. It was a massive pain don’t get me wrong, especially doing it by yourself. But it worked! Hope this helps. Thanks!
Would be interested in how you get the spring installed
