- Alt accounts are something a lot of people make in Genshin Impact. I kinda have quite a few "alt" accounts, but it's all for the sake of content... I promise
I've made many new accounts during my time of playing Genshin, yet I currently still actively play across 5 somehow.
Trying to grind primogems, events, dailies, resin, and more on all of them proves to be quite an issue, but I thought I'd explain why it is that I have all these accounts, and how accounts like Swords and Spells Only came to be.

java, if you wish, I'm sure people wouldn't mind exploration videos from the newest account, you're very creative and ingenious so I'm sure you'd find a way to make it entertaining!

I feel like people say floor 8 is an easy goal because we're used to using 5 stars and other good 4 stars but its a nice middle ground for the type of low grind challenge you want

Honestly I thought getting *to* floor 9 was more of a challenge than *completing* floor 9. Some of those floors heavily favored elements that I simply didn't have until I was a higher AR.

The no.1 thing stopping me from creating a 2nd account is that I have to go through all the dialogues again and there is no skip button.
me too honestly like i have wanted to make alt accounts n have even had the thought of rerolling for specific charactres but every time i decide not to bc i cant stand the unskippable dialogue and cutscenes

Java I just wanted to let you know that ive tried watching other peoples weapon only accounts and quit mid way through because they werent as entertaining or dedicated to the challenge. I really think your patience and dedication to these challenges are what makes you so unique so I'm sure a lot us (subscribers) won't mind if you make the rest of the weapon only series!
even if there are a lot of other UA-camrs that have done the "weapon only" account like he did, I think a lot of people would still watch Java's videos with the other weapons, I definitely would, I really loved those series!
@@cookiaioi think that’s exactly why he’s avoided doing it. sure, it’s his challenge but i don’t think he wants to take others viewers away from them whilst they do the challenge too. if java was to do them especially right now, im sure a lot of people doing the challenges will lose their viewership. if he does decide to do them I’d say he’ll wait it off for now at least. :)
Always a joy to watch you play! I think you're one of the first genshin content creators I watched when I first started playing and actually inspired me to build some of my current characters now. Keep up the awesome work but remember to take breaks when you need them

Why not try a "Spin the wheel " challenge. In which everytime you achieve something like, completing a story quest or leveling up to AR 45 you whould have to spin a wheel that gives you new challenges. For example, the wheel could have electro only or no artifacts, and more.
Also if you roll on the same thing, you can remove it.
As someone who has three accounts I appreciate your dedication.
My first account is my main, but I started it on PS4 before you could switch to mobile. I wanted to play on my phone, so I created my 2nd account. I also like to do something different with each account, so I chose Aether instead of Lumine and was going to be FTP. I ended up becoming a dedicated Kokomi main and lost my FTP status. My third account I started because I wanted to experience the story again, have an account on EU, and be truly FTP. I am still FTP and am a Nilou and dendro main. I love being able to choose different characters to play between the accounts. I am planning on making a 4th if Genshin ever comes out on the Switch.

I actually just pulled for Hu Tao on my main account bc I've been playing on two accounts for over a year and HuTao was the only character on my side account I actually cared about and got super sick of playing two accounts. So now I have her on my main and can just play that one. I can't imagination having this many accounts. Having two was already way too much for me lol

I have three accounts and logging on and farming everyday is a nightmare. I can’t even begin to imagine having to do more than that
I have 3 accounts I play on. My main (almost ar 59), one on the Europe server ( ar 47), and a “no-wishing account” (like ar 12, it’s pretty recent.) I don’t play on the latter two nearly as much as my main, so I couldn’t imagine this. Kudos to you!
The dailies on every account was pretty clean
Not gonna lie, when I notice other people copying your idea of certain (weapon/ element/ type of characters) only challenges, I ignore those videos because I don't like watching people trying to be like you. You are unique with your idea and I enjoy your sarcasm and voice and that's what make me subscribed to your channel.
I've had a hard time getting into any of those accounts either. Turns out that I wasn't that into the weapon challenges, I just liked Java's commentary and voice. Turns out you need more than just gameplay to make a good video, you also need a great voice and AI intelligence for commentary.
I do like the idea of his last account that doesn't have much or any content, but you just try to max efficiently build a strong team
The patience this accounts take . . .
I have six accounts myself. Main account made back in 1.0. Two f2p accounts made in 1.2 (one meta focused and one for characters I wouldn't otherwise pull for). Then I made both a bow only account and a catalyst only account back in 2.3. Much inspired by you. Weapon restricted accounts are a lot of fun. Then last month I made another account. Mostly to see how much dendro would break the early game and accounts with low investment. The conclusion is that hyperbloom is very unbalanced and way to good/cheap to build for.
Having a few accounts is fine. Just never feel like you have to play on them all often. I routinely skip events on multiple accounts. It helps that three of the six are well past the point of needing to really do anything other than build the occasional new character or do new content that interests me.
i saw someone saw they wouldnt mind exploration videos from the newest account, and while i agree that itd be nice content, i also think itd be nice to see you "repair" your first account and see how much you could do! (maybe the challenge could be "build every character"? ik its kinda unrealistic but itd be cool to see you try!)

Having 3, i can partially relate, is usually do alot on my main and polearms only, as they have the most progress, and swords only i do my dailies, prarts of quests, and a bit of my resin, but it doesn't take to long usually
It's okay some things are shared in one world. As long there's one character that can do so much damage, it's not hard to manage if you can handle it.
Mad respect. There is no wa I even make another account then my only. Nononono. No more grind than that one time.

ive had one account since june of 2021 and played consistently with it with a couple breaks here and there, ive never made a seperate account and on my account i have like 100% almost everywhere and i cant stand not finishing everything so i would not survive with several accounts, i cant imagine how annoying it is to have to do everything 5 times
I think a really cool challenge for you would be an abyss speedrun challenge account, to try and see how fast you could clear abyss 12-3 max stars. It would be really entertaining to watch and would force you to min/max your characters and make decisions with very scarce resources. You could try it again on a different account every once in a while to try and beat your record too.
I think that you should still do a series for all the weapon types. I would watch all of the other weapon series. :)
Funny cause I also have an alt account, an American account and a new account I made to make it as a challenge. I don't like to repeat things over and over which is one of the reasons I got a major burn out on Genshin, when I try to hover through those accounts. With the new challenge account I did, I hardly made any progress. Because idk how I should start a video out of it. Pluse I am debating if I should do a voice over of it or not. Rn I am only focusing on my main, finishing quests and the events and after that, I may or may not continue my new challenge account. I admit though, that I got this idea from you Java. But it's not a weapon-focused gameplay but more of characters focused. (Will probably have to explain more details about it if I ever do the video of it)

You were like the first genshin streamer / UA-cam channel I ever started watching and cuz of you I started to play more often and felt more motivated to farm for my characters and become stronger on my own account. All accounts have all servers played in so a total of 13 accounts and all servers so 50+ accounts
@[ rio ] it’s a regular thing now you get bored because you finished a whole account 4 servers complete then you keep moving on and on and on it takes me about 5 days to finish all archon quest for now as of 3.4
I would rather wait and watch you doing a series for each weapon type, a completionist run, a "just chill and explore with commentary" run, but I couldn't suggest you do it, it seems like such a hassle handling so many accounts, it's pretty impressive how dedicated you are to this!
I dont mind watching you do daily stuff. I watch more for commentary than anything else

To be honest i wanted to have another account other from my main but i had no motivation to make one. But seeing your challenge inspired me to make a little twist and start an account (or server in my case). I started anew on europe server and wanted stay on brand with a mondstadt only rule. The reasons being; first, its on europe server, second, 3 of the characters are already on standart banner making it easy for myself, and third, i really love all the mondstadt characters and dont have any of the limited ones on my main. I already have venti and albedo rn and i'll get Eula when she has a rerun so its going well for me. Thank you for your idea and inspration.

I've really enjoyed your content, I have watched all of spells and swords only in the past 3 days while I recently started another account. Mine is only a f2p but it's been fun watching your progress on your accounts while I'm slowly doing mine :3
My story is simpler. I liked the game so I ran out of content on my second week of playing. Then I struggled trying to play but nothing to do for the next 2 months, rage quitting over and over again. This period was such a traumatizing experience. Eventually I just gave up trying to play the game by not playing it and said "screw it, I'll register a ton of more accounts, so I can play whenever I want to". After that came Inazuma and the rage quits for too much unskippable text but Sumeru made that so bad I decided to risk it and play the game on the blustacks emulator that can spam clicks to skip the text for me. Been playing a year that way, no bans, so quests can't stop me anymore from enjoying the game. Anyone starts to talk I just hit alt F4, start the emulator, let it skip the dialog and play another account or a different game meanwhile.

I’m still impressed you do not show signs of burnout in your videos with all the farming you have to do on each of those alternative accounts. As much as I enjoy this game, farming is the most painful part for many reasons
As a someone who also have an alt account. I have fined easier to invite all your toon into one account and do domain in one go. might be tricky but still fastest way to use up daily resin. Also, Java keep up the good work, love the content.

I may or may not have started my own little Challenge.. I wanted it to be a Bows Only Account, but have currently decided to have it temporarily as a Bows&Catalysts only, because.. I really didn't want an Amber only Acc. I have 3 5* Bow Chars on my Main, and am using all of them in different teams - so trying that Weapon Type just made sense to me. With Yelan currently being on a banner, I'm trying to grab as many Primos as I can on that new acc and.. let's just say, doing Sumeru World Quests with just Amber isn't really fun. xD
I heard about your sword only but wasn’t interested cause I was tired of streamers using Fire and Water boys on all their teams, most of my favorite characters are Catalysts so I was very happy when I saw your first part and subscribed to it and it was amusing seeing your struggle to get my favorite girl Sucrose who I pulled on first day standard, i personally hope they introduce new weapon types eventually like Scythe or Axe for new challenges.
I don't think they are going to add any new weapon types but there will probably be new characters who use their weapons in new ways that mimic weapon types that don't exist in the game. Heizou already showed they could work martial arts into a catalyst character. Catalyst does seem like the easiest to experiment with in that regard.

We'd love to see you do other weapon types once you get free from one of the existing ones.
Well I mean if you have time to support them all And a new weapon type it would be amazing but I just feel it's too much for a human. So please finish abyss on the one of the weapons account (swords only perhaps can do it) and start bows only or polearms or claymore whatever you want

Coming back to the game after a few months' break nice to see you're keeping the series going If anyone is curious I quit not cause of the grind but causes I tilted myself off the planet with my bad luck lol.
Not that I have multiple accounts but I do help my kids with theirs with their more grindy stuff. Aside from both getting razor and loving the guy, they are very different accounts so it's it's nice to see the variety in characters and gameplay. My son's is almost an only Claymores account even!
honestly i would prefer if you made more weapon type videos even if they’re already existing, it would give us more to watch actually

On the coco-goat banner I lost the 50/50 to my first 5 star.. Qiqi.
On that account all my characters when they were supposed to be 60 they were 40-20 and it was just WAY TOO far gone. I might go back to it one day but it’s horrible and my new account is much better

I started a new account just to be a Lisa main because of the event and I'm so happy with it, I got widsith for my Lisa and r5 ttods for my sucrose! I really like playing with different characters that aren't just in my main account

Oh! For the 3 star weapon challenge, you should totally get the Dark Iron Sword from the guy in Liyue! That'd be great on dendro/anemo traveler. It's already a strong sword, even though you only get one in the game. That'll boost your success rate a lot.

Although I enjoy series and challenge videos, in the end I tend to get bored as they end up being about getting characters and building them. Yours are an exception thanks to your sense of humor! However, I consider that making videos about Genshin secret missions, hidden chests, achievements... is very interesting and refreshing!! It would be great if you also do that content instead of just grinding and pulling for characters.

I'm on 2.5 accounts.
1st account was Aether,grabbed Eula from the banner and then later grabbed a Shogun.
Ended up ditching the account to play as Lumine and heavily played that account making it my main.
Ended up going back and using the 1st account as a backup. Extra chance to pull for characters and try then out, and also used it to pull less meta characters and such.
Having 2 accounts is good. It sucks to do double dailies but I like being able to do the story on one, and then be able to do the story again later again. It also means you can use twice as much resin and get twice as much primos from events.
Two accounts also lets you build characters differently. I have a Kuki that is built all EM as well as a Kuki built with physical damage and pale flame set. I have a normal ER Raiden as well as a more EM based Raiden on the other.
As for my .5 account.... my wife also made an account to play with me, which is nice, but I also end up doing farming for her every so often.....
I probably won't do more than those accounts, but I could see myself doing a free to play account, but do something like your nuzlocke, only using starter characters and free characters that we get, as a way to play through the story again and only need to actually farm for like 8 characters
I have three, the one I originally made was on the Asian server cause people said that server has the nicest people but I had too many issues with lag so I switched server, and then I made on for the family ps4, I haven't logged onto that account in months
I actively play on the the one where I switched to the European server, I've not been too active this week though because of burnout and wanting to spend hours reading
I've started reading six crimson cranes and six of crows and they're both rather lengthy novels and then I have a ton of other books I need to get out of the way so I can bring myself to buy new books that are more in my genre, I'm making sure I've definitely read every single book I own even if they're from my childhood by rereading almost all of them, there's a few that I know for certain that I've read like the lost journals and we're going on a bear hunt but as for every other book, I'm not certain so I'm going through them again and I'm marking the finished ones with a cat sticker in the front

I created my Alt/side account a full year after my main account just for Klee because I lost the 50/50 and going from my usual damage to tiny dmg is like a reality check xD but now, my main hit AR60 and my Alt is AR59 because I don't want it to feel lonely xDD In saying that, there was alot that I had learned from previous mess ups that this account didnt suffer through and characters that could be different, like getting Kazuha, Yoimiya, that I also got on my main because I loved them.
What does suck is repeating new stories and events that drag on for too long. The fun part about having two accounts is before I found friends to play with, I did most achievements by myself because I play on PC/mobile and PS5 so daily comms are friendship teams and I only use 2 characters so thats my challenge, it has not been that hard seeing as its locked in Mondstadt however that is specifically for an achievement and I need it one last time but it's been months XD you need it 5 times so that's fun.

swords and spells are at the point where it's very grindy, i think you can bring back the farming videos again but with a twist!
I have one main account, where I take farming pretty seriously. I log on every day and do all the events. And I also have an alternate account where, much like your nuzlock, I only use the free characters plus Noelle, however I do also get constellations and use four and five star weapons. I play that one super casually, however I sometimes do events. The end goal is to see how strong I can make those 8 characters.
Those are the only two accounts I have

I have 5 accounts for long term goals, since I'm not a content creator. Main account for 100% completion purposes. 4 free-to-play accounts to eventually C6 R5 any limited 5* of my choice, likely 4 of the Archons, for free. Been playing my main account since launch & the others just a few patches after. I'm caught up on the current story on all of them, all events on my main & most events on my alts. Currently have a C6 R1 Raiden & Engulfing Lightning on one of my alts. Now trying to decide between Dendro, Hydro & Cryo for the remaining 2 slots, since Pyro is a guarantee & both Venti & Zhongli aren't as versatile as I'd prefer. It is very much a waiting game. Needless to say, I usually have plenty to keep myself busy with. Regardless, I appreciate your content.

i have my main account that ive definitely spent too much money on, and i just hit ar60 yesterday. ideally i want at least one of everything because i have a collector brain, and at least this game doesnt take up any physical space. i also have a second account, (technically my first since i created it, didnt play the game for months, then went back and started a new account because i didnt remember anything about the game) and i made the decision to save every single primogem to get a completely f2p c6 r5 character, so at the very least i spend maybe 20 mins a day doing commissions and events. i like being able to use characters i wasnt able to on my first like sucrose, and the complete rng of getting whatever standard characters or items, and theres no way to guarantee anything or increase my chances of getting something. its fun! i think ive saved up 512 wishes in about a year, and i still have a ton of quests and areas to unlock.
Rednasyo makes exploration videos and they're really fun. I think you could do something similar!

I have 4 accounts on star rail so I can get different characters and different goals, and in genshin I have 3 😭 having 5 genshin accounts is actually pretty hard😭
