Newbie Railroading... a look at ground throws

I'm fumbling my way through this, trying to make sense of Caboose Hobbies ground throws (the instructions would benefit from a diagram or two... a link to a UA-cam video perhaps).

a simple way is to fully switch, mark the holes to be screwed then switch opposite and mark two more holes then from those 4 holes marked. find the centre line between thse 4 holes and bingo, you got centre spaced switch

You pretty much have them figured out. You will need to install nails in all three hold down holes. But yeah so far so good.

i am not saying my way is right, but I put mine on the farthest point and install and switch it around, then adjust to line it all up.
the product has not changed in years so what you bought then, is still what you would buy today.

I used a 0.028 feeler gauge to center my points.
