- The No Lift TJ is getting ready for it's first off road run! So, in this episode we do a little maintenance, install MetalCloak bump stops (with the required modification to make them fit), recovery hooks, wheels spacers, a Torq locker in the front, and upgrade the track bar bolt. So follow along as we prep this rig for some real wheeling in the next few weeks.

Nice that’s the locker I have in my front , rear I have limited slip so it’s golden. You’ll be very happy with the locker.
That's really good to hear! Can't wait to put it to a real test.
Looking forward to seeing this awesome rig in your next DV video.
Coming soon!
Can verify, the hooks work.
Glad you're a fan as well.
so uh... what is a torq locker And what size tires are those? They look a bit more taller and skinnier than I'd like.
They are 35x10.5r15. I love skinny tires personally.
OH, I didn't see the Torq Locker question. It's an auto locker that replaces the spider gears within your differential. Thus allowing the front axle shafts (tires) to lock together for more traction offroad.
@@EmbarkWithMark oh replace the spider gears? I know for them old tj's u can get an air locker that you turn on and off as needed. What happens with this torq locker, I still need to use my tj as a transport, 3.5 inch lift on 33x12.5x15
ARB makes an Air locker for just about anything. Selectable lockers are really nice, but also more expensive.
If you install it in the front there is zero effect to your street driving. The locker is only engage when torque is applied to the front driveshaft. So only does the locker work when in 4 wheel drive. I'd not recommend installing one of these in the rear axle if it's a daily driver. That is why we installed the locker in the front, so we can still drive this rig on the highway.
@@EmbarkWithMark oh i see, so its a trade off. Yeah, I live in Los Angeles, so the jeep is only in 4hi or 4low for off roading, Im never in the snow or anything where I'd want 4hi to just get around to places. How much cheaper is this than an air locker?
