- Join Ian Dejardin, Executive Director of the McMichael, on the legacy of Tom Thomson. Master of the plein air oil sketch, friend and progenitor of the Group of Seven, and the subject of one of Canada’s most enduring mysteries, no other Canadian artist has so captured the imagination of subsequent generations with such a short but dazzling career.
Finally, as an ardent fan of Tom Thomson, I luckily find this Doc, Presentation. I have spent many a hour or more at the Tom Thomson Memorial Art Gallery, just taking in TOM's paintings not many but enough to to wishfully that he would come around the corner and sit down and talk about the paintings. I now live in Newfoundland but every time I'm in Owen Sound I have to go to the gallery and visit my old friends. Hope to get to the MicMichael next visit. Keep up the great work and Thank You for putting the Canadian Art out there.
Very informative! Thanks so much for sharing. There's a criminally small amount of content about Thomson and the Group of Seven online, let alone any other Canadian painters. CBC Gems put out some docs already! Come on!

and i wonder how the art market was
in the midst of a global war and one of the worst
global pandemics from 1914 to 1918.
