I know historically this series has had trouble with views, bit hopefully now that's it's on console, more people will watch. I am personally hoping enough people get on board to where we can have our own channel on the discord.
I'm really glad about how you explain things thoroughly. I haven't played or seen anyone play Hades before and it's really nice of you to think of the completely new people even when you've done 100 videos on the game already. Your showcase here was what I needed to finally decide to buy the game.

@@chrislake6001 I haven't played it for a long time now, but I did enjoy it enough to complete it and even get all the achievements.
You said you were curious how far a new player would get in their first run. Well, I can tell you! I made it to the room where I got my first boon, and then died immediately after. I picked up 20 darkness and 1 key. So not very far.
I also had to play around with the controls a bit. I like having all the actions on the trigger/bumpers, and all the things you only use outside of combat be on the face buttons. I'm sure it's easier on m/kb, but having a quality game like this on switch is such a joy. The default gamepad controls just did not work for me at all, but after playing around with it for a bit I had a much easier time.

Hey reto, could you turn up the character dialogue volume a bit? I can't really make out the characters are saying. I know that there subtitles for their lines, but i feel that the characters vocal performances, namely in their interactions, is a large part of what makes this game entertaining.

Thank you so much for doing a new save file for this series!!!!! I just bought the game on switch, and I love being able to play along at home. I usually will watch a reto run and then do a run myself, but if you hadn't started a new save I would have been afraid to see too much of the late game.
I've only had the chance to play a couple hours of this game so far, but man is it ever a good one!

Really been getting me back into the game and the episode I watched was talking about when you were playing the early stages of Hades, and lo and behold, I see your first episode for the 1.0 version XD. Started playing it today and loved it so far. I Specially loved the music, voice acting and the art style. They are all top notch and tone & dialogues are perfect for this type of game too.
I made it through all your early access videos on Hades and it was very interesting, seeing as the game developed over time and also how your playstyle changed. Now things will for the most part be how I know the game. Loved the content so far, looking forward to 91 more episodes of it!

It is absolutely possible to get the highest tier boons on the first run just by sheer luck of RNG; one time I started up a new game, and somehow managed to get an epic boon, promptly followed by a fucking duo boon before ever leaving Tartarus. Absolutely wild.

You don't need to dash to avoid the multiple shots from the main hydra head. When it pulls back to its starting position, run and hide behind one of the pillars, every single shot will miss you. The slow shots will all hit the pillar, while the quick shots will fire too wide and be too far away from you to swing back your way before dissipating.
Im new here, love rogue like dungeon crawlers, this game seems really fun keep up the series
you can dash out of the special so that you can do it on the move. If you hit special and dash immediately after, you'll slam your special where you land. It's very good for reach with the sword.

Oh also, you do a really good job of explaining the basic mechanics in this video. I know there are a ton, so covering them all is difficult. As a new player though, some tips and tricks might be helpful. For instance, in Gungeon the strat is to circle straif, dodge towards bullets, and focus down the biggest enemy. Are there similar tricks to Hades? You spend a lot of time in the video explaining the meta progression, but more movement based tip and tricks would be helpful. I spent hours in Gungeon dodging away from bullets, and if there is something similar in Hades that seems obvious, but I might have overlooked, it would help to know about that early.

I bought this game on a whim last night for switch while it was on sale! I've never really played a game like this before, so I'm excited to get into it!!

The caverns of Hades look like the king's temple from game THE LONGING, but is populated by monsters as any dungeons of rpg games
Love this game!
As the average player you wanted to hear from, I got about halfway through the first floor on my first run, then on my second I got through to Elysium and died in one of the first rooms. Still haven't died to the furies or the hydra yet, even after besting the end boss 3 or so times, which is a bit wacky :P
As a mythology nerd, I love seeing the designs of the Gods and Goddesses of this game and learning what each God is a God of.
I'm looking in to buying Hades it gives dark souls vibes which is a franchise I love and this game looks pretty good too
