This is so amazing! I want to get into this but haven't bought my pack yet, are you going to release more kits soon? Also can you add a rumble motor to the pack that syncs with the hum?
Not all rumble motors are made to run long term, so take care finding one rated for that. The Sound board does have a controlled battery output (the sound board usually has a 12V battery attached) that is on whenever the pack is running, so if you have a 12V rumble motor or used a voltage regulator to drop the 12V battery controlled output to the desired rumble motor battery voltage it could be used to have the rumble motor powered whenever the pack is up and running.
Currently installing Spengler link with an 84 want and your light kit into a full-size Spirit pack and during initial install troubleshooting somehow I got it to play the GB theme song. Is this a normal function? or just something on the card for use with on other applications?
Yes, that is a normal function. With the wand powered up but no rumble motor running (not "activated"), the ear button can perform either a manual vent operation or a start/stop function for the theme song. The selection between the two is done with the front face top toggle switch.
Probably, but not this year! GBFans will probably also make one and they should be compatible with the Pack Lights interface since that has been used by GBFans for some time...
The parts I make are to add to the existing working board. I have seen some full replacement electronics sets, but they may be more expensive than a new wand...
Hey question! First, awesome work as always! Second, I’ve done this project with your products, hooking the Spengler wand to the 80% size spirit pack. Would I be able to use the same instructions, hooking the ‘84 wand to the full size pack?
The parts in this video are the Hasbro 1984 wand and the pack lights are the ones for the Spirit Halloween Life-Size Pack. The instructions for the 1984 or the same as for the Spengler wand, just a different mounting bracket (use the Orange bracket for the 1984 wand and the black bracket for the Spengler wand).
Not really... The recommendation is for an 8 ohm "full range" speaker rated at 10W or more (200W is fine). Speaker sound is very dependent on how/where it is mounted. I use car speakers, home ceiling outdoor rated speakers (with paintable grills), etc. As large as you can securely mount and as heavy as you are willing to carry! GBFans offers this speaker, though I have not listened to one in person: www.gbfans.com/shop/pack-parts/40w-shielded-speaker/ I also purchase speakers from Parts-Express as they carry a good selection of speaker components: www.parts-express.com/speaker-components/hi-fi-woofers-subwoofers-midranges-tweeters/midrange-midbass-drivers-full-range-speakers
Unfortunately, no. The GBFans sound board does not have a way to decode the Link's signal. This Spengler sound board and the GBFans sound board both work with either my Spirit Pack Lights (seen in this video) or the GBFans Powercell and Vent lights and both of those pack lights sets can provide the color changing cyclotron lights.
@@ghostlab42do you have an audio amp recommendation for the new Spengler Link and Sound setup? I’m running stereo speakers in off the GBfans board currently.
@@ericparker243 The Spengler sound board is mono, so no stereo source like the GBFans board's sound module. The 10W mono amplifier is rated at the same power as a single channel on the GBFans sound board. If you want another speaker and audio amplifier for more volume (just not stereo!), the auido input jack on the Spengler Sound board can be configured as a line level output. This is a design feature, but I do not test each board for the output, so it _probably_ works, but is untested. See the Spengler sound board documentation for configuration, but it does require a couple of simple solder changes on the Spengler Sound board. The audio output works with most audio amplifiers, so no recommendations, but look for a 12V audio mono amplifier rated at 10W or something similar since that would be similar to one channel of the GBFans sound board.
Mine comes in tomorrow!!!! Cant wait to get started on this babd boy!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much for this link kit. I just finished the installation with your light kit as well, and it is beyond amazing. 100% satisfied!
Just ordered a full kit from you! Very excited!

Would you ever make a ring LED kit for Afterlife and Frozn Empire styled cyclotrons?
Probably, but not this year! GBFans will probably also make one and they should be compatible with the Pack Lights interface since that has been used by GBFans for some time...
Truly fascinating. Thank you for sharing us the demo! If I had a spare pack I would definitely grab this beauty
You have a full kit AVAILABLE? Can you send me a link of full kit?

@ghostlab42 oh well new wand it is, thanks for the advice
