I've noticed so many times how quiet the forest is in winter. I sometimes feel like a loud intruder then. 🙈 And the sound of crunchy snow is still the most beautiful sound out there. ☺️
That was a good watch. You're spot on about washing. At one time, I lived in a cottage with a fireplace but no electricity. Once you thought it through, it was easy to adapt. It was a bit like being back in the 1970's as a kid. Back then, even here in the Forth Valley, summers were summers, and winters were definitely winters. Not like nowadays. Thanks for sharing.
Rumour has it that it was three bears who paid you a visit. Trudged home after a hard day's forage, gagging for a bowl of steaming porridge. Peered in the window and found a brazen squatter had moved in, locked the door, scoffed the lot, washed it down with a wee drammen and was now snoring in a drunken stupor on the floor. Luckily they knew the hut next door was empty, but Daddy Bear vowed to come back in the daylight and sort out Gingerchops. "Bloody foreigners - coming over 'ere and gobbling our gruel. This one's not getting away scot-free! Now if it had been that rather nice blonde lass again - what was her name …?"
@@HighlandWoodsmanYou've obviously not watched your own videos on a 4k screen, Sam. Every whisker, every nose-hair ... But seriously: Gingerchops had to have the same final vowel as 'that nice blonde lass' to sound like the male counterpart, and Goldichops has a bit of an effeminate ring about it. I should add: the high video resolution can be very satisfying. For instance, the name of the neighbouring empty cabin (where Daddy Bear took kith & kin for the night, btw) at 18:27 can't be read from an HD still but UHD shows 'Tuva' (borne out by the map) crystal clear. Not quite bellingcat stuff, but pleasing.
It's so beautiful and peaceful, but that's the whole point, to take your time and explore relax and take each day as it comes, that's probably why you feel tired , you can just take time to breathe. Thank you for sharing and enjoy it while you can 😊
How’s things Sam, loving this mini series mate Norway is on my bucket list I’ve worked there loads over the years just never enjoyed the outdoors, keep up the amazing work mate . Atb Wullie ✊🏻🏴
