One can't simply hate a Western Movie with Clint Eastwood in it.
John Wayne could, easily!;)
Can one convolutedly hate a Western movie with Clint Eastwood in it?
A lot of memories here. Seven of us in a 1969 Ford van went to see this at a drive-in movie. None of us were disappointed.
this movie is underrated
My All time favorite movie superb. Clint Eastwood
One of my Uncle George's favourite films, he loved old Westerns.
He died on the 15 May 2012 of cancer aged 70.
Three days ago was the seventh anniversary of his passing.
He was a good bloke, his name was George Davies Junior, but if he knew I was writing all this he'd probably say: What the bleedin' 'ell are you doin' that for?
Quite cool actually.
wow
May he rest in peace
I've known a few Georges and they are were all very good solid men.
I was looking for that movie since very long time...This movie is second to me after the good, the bad and the ugly...A must see movie
Hisham Ragheb third best don't forget the Outlaw josey wales
an avenging angel is just about to hit town , love it
You don’t have to be high when you watch this film. But it doesn’t hurt.
Plus, Dean Wormer’s wife is in it. Rowr.
Smoking some hash and watching it again right now , definitely doesn't hurt
That Gunfight at the O.K. Corral whistle! 😂😂😂
How many times have people watched this? Excellent movie. I don't care what the Thumbs Down people think,,,
This is one of my favorite films... It just about ended a relationship with a girl I was with a decade ago mind. I put it on, it got to the - scene where he takes the woman into the shed - and she got up and started yelling that I condoned ---- .... Lol... Remember sitting there trying to explain it "No, he's not even a man, he's a ghost... Of vengeance... She watched him get whipped to death and did nothing!"
"HOW COULD YOU WATCH THAT?!?"
"...Oh forget it."
[Chews cigarillo.]
Aim, to see it! LOL thats a classic hook line right there!! XD
It's a pity John Wayne thought Eastwood's work to be too violent or vulgar. It would've been something to see those two iconic titans sharing the same screen at least once. The Duke and The Man With No Name... pray for whoever gets in their way. Anyway I love how Eastwood's mysterious and ominous character just seems to be conjured up out of thin air when he rides into town.
They were actually eager to work with each other, until this movie came out. See, Wayne didn't like High Noon because of how it portrayed the townspeople as cowards...and of course, this movie went even further, supposedly inspired by the thought, "What if the marshal in High Noon had died in the end?"
Eaqstwoods work is as today far more influential in Westerns anyway. Also i donpt think they could share the same movie together without Eastwood gunning down the Duke
It would have been fun to see Eastwood with Charles Bronson, I think.
I like John Wayne and he's made some great westerns, but nobody really could pull this stone face character off like Clint Eastwood.
@@baburao87 they almost did in once upon a time in the west
Love the great cast, Dan Vadis, Jack Ging...all gone now but great character actors
One of Clint's best.
I’m about to watch this movie for the first time
Back In 1973 Clint Eastwood Had No Idea His Movie Would Inspire Tokyo Drifting Decades Later.
My All time favorite movie wonderful superb great. Clint Eastwood
My All time favorite movie Clint Eastwood dailogue.. But the time is start a new shiref.. Any objection.. Wonderful style
Scariest western ever the best
I was 18 in the Marines when I saw this movie... Then within a few years beat up 25 men in fights and lost only 2 and lived to tell about it.... Karate Judo and Boxing , Roofing and Busting concrete made me tougher that you'll ever live to be, at 68 I carry a model 29 44-Magnum/24/7 Go ahead make my day.
You did what you had to do. The Marines help make people tough. Semper Fi.
It doesn’t sound like it but hopefully you r as cool as Clint Eastwood characters are in the movies. He didn’t have to prove anything nor provoked.
Clint was the man back then. He seemed immortal, larger than life. Now, he's just so dam old...it sucks.
MY HERO, MY FANTASY, MY O MY !
I was born in '79 but have somehow grown up having never watched a western. Certainly grew up watching Eastwood. Firefox, Heartbreak Ridge, The Dead Pool, Any Which Way You Can etc etc. But never a western. I only came here because I read an article that said Robocop may have copied this film (?). Anyway I may give this a watch, at 43 years old.
to me, that's the Greatest western ever made
Awesome flick
RIP Jamie dornan 1936 2022
The best
Awesome trailer
2hrs but feels like 5mins, very fast cutting; great movie.
This is a horror western and this trailer doesnt let you know it
It's funny how awful the footage in the trailer looks, it's fuzzy, desaturated, has 4:3 pan and scan, but the restored blu-ray is absolutely gorgeous.
With this film Clint Eastwood brought dark Spaghetti Western elements to U.S western film genre. He definitely wanted to destroy that old John Ford - John Wayne perspective. He preferred that of Leone, Corbucci and Solima.
the big film
who the hell disliked this?
Tyler Grady *Assholes in personnel*
Stacey Bridges lol
Handsome!!!
Hello, may I first start off by saying this film is an absolute must see film before you die or the end of the world happens or both as it's happening now only some people it would seem still don't understand this. So this is why you need to see & get a true understanding of what this film is trying to tell you before its too late & the electric gets turned off the world over etc, you get the picture. Summary, Although not one of Clint Eastwood's first thought of films, it's one of his best & this is why, People of all faiths or no faith, (I'm not judging) take note. This film is really about telling the story akin for what is in store for all humans since they allowed Jesus the son of God to be murdered. Clint's, The Stranger arrives in town after a murder has taken place to see if the people of the town have changed their ways. ie The humans of the world today, it turns out they have not & the people of the town eventually ask for his help, not realising who he is, (Either he is the person they stood by & watched get murdered in the first place resurrected or is just the Devil incarnate), either way the help he offers is parable. So should make you think what's in store for us all soon & the after life. Cheers guys Peace out.
I don't believe in God but I agree with you . We should take responsibility for our actions and I think it is a reckoning that he is. A reckoning is something you'll hear off in religion etc .It also is something that's real for everyone believers or non believers . Enough bad builds up and it might tumble down . Happens In life a lot.
Interesting
мой любимый вестерн наверно
Buy some red paint & observe as Clint deals with those who stand idly by.
The only well known actor I can think of now that would do a western Great justice is Daniel Day-Lewis. I know there are others that many people PERSONALLY like, but I am talking about the actors abilities.
Kurt russel , jeff Bridges , sam l jackson , leo di caprio ,brad pitt , michael madsen, harvey keitel
Originally titled the magnificent one. This is should have been called : The revenge of Marshall Jim Duggan..
Plot twist: he was a vengeful ghost/zombie all the time.
Can watch film comp
Maybe Jo3 could be the sheriff and mayor too?
1:12 I thought this scene was in a Fist Full of Dollars, not this horror movie.
they never show this on the GRIT channel, wish they would
Oh it has been on Grit baby!!!
6:26 Am May 15th 2022
The cast us the black widow gang
Arthur?
Get 1 coffin ready...oops, wrong movie, :p
4 Coffins
"Get three coffins ready". (Shoots four dudes) "Make that four".
I never understud whats was he to the Marshal the died?
His outlaw, gunfighting twin brother. One brother preserved the law, the other brother broke it. When someone kills your brother, it attracts a response. He was not a ghost.
@@williamharris6217 Eastwood, the film’s director said in an interview himself the drifter was an avenging spirit in the flesh
Pause 1:09… is Clint Eastwood Hugh Jackman’s daddy 😉
Here because of Joe Rogan and Clints son.
Defunded the police, huh? First you need to paint the whole town red.
anyone seen this movie on shrooms?
+J Salazar Scary. I kept the 1911 real close.
no way, i had a blast. but had the sound cut off and played some funky electronic shit over it
