They all standout for me when it come to live especially Solar and Hwasa, mainly each one of them have different style and they slay, Solar with the belting and her powerful vocals, moonbyul with her standing out rap, Wheein with her falsettos. head voice on the adlibs and her breathy sound, and Hwasa with her diversity, range and soulful vocals

Wheein is constantly mentioned as underrated and that just is not true at all. Every comeback and album Wheein is showered with love and proclaimed as the vocal backbone of Mamamoo. It's just that she's so powerful that we are affected by "comeback amnesia" every time Mamamoo comes back. I noticed this when Dingga was released and I was like "Wow, Wheein is slaying hard. Was she always like this?". I remembered that I had the exact same reaction to Wanna Be Myself, Candy, 25, Easy, Hip(that Studio Choom performance specifically), etc and that she's just that good that we can be amazed by her vocals every time. Part of it is that Wheein gives most of her energy to singing and dancing and only a little is left for presence. But do you need that much when you can sing and dance as well as she can? 😂 Also, between promotional periods Wheein puts the baseball caps and sweatsuits back on and sort of goes into hiding while Solar, Moonbyul, and Hwasa continue to be active on social media and in our minds(and our hearts!). Basically, Wheein has the biggest big dick energy every comeback and we are just dumb for forgetting who we're dealing with.

Two moments are my favs - in Starry Night when Wheein supplies her own delay on "bam" and then laughs about it to Hwasa (who doesn't notice) and in I Miss You when Hwasa raises her hand before Solar sings a gospel-style high-flying line, as tho to say "Take us to the promised land, Sister Yongsun."

I've been a Mamamoo fan since 2015 and Wheein's voice and technique has always been my favorite even though I love all of them and they're all talented. :) But whenever I hear Wheein singing I just think she is insanely good, it always surprises me.
