The one who presented the award, the girl in white suit, Lee Da Hee, she is a big fan of Mamamoo and befriended Moonbyul. This is the first MAMA appearance for Mamamoo and still very iconic, because they're that talented. They are a blessing for kpop, many experienced producers who heard them from their debut days says from the beginning that they're different and believe they're going to go a long way. And yes they are now! Vocal queens they are.
The unfortunate part about MAMA 2018 is that MMM got the short end of the stick. No Selfie Cam + HAD to change in the hallway (no actual green room) + a long list of other issues.
This stage was very very iconic for Mamamoo specially for Hwasa. This performance was iconic but I hope you check out their 2019 MAMA performance because it was just as incredible. Hye Jin's outfit was a combination tribute to Beyonce [her Idol] & (possibly) CL [2NE1] with the Hat Toss being a tribute/homage to Minzy [2NE1] whom had done that for a few performances. A lot of people got a CL/2NE1 vibes from both Hye Jin's solo performance as well as the group's performance, especially coming up from below the stage [reminiscent of 2NE1's MAMA 2015 surprise performance, aka the last GREAT performance from 2NE1 before the dark days of 2016]

Seulgi (& Red Velvet) wasn't there as her company (SM Entertainment) was boycotting that years MAMA [along with YGE]. Chaewon was recommended to Byul and it all sort of fell into place, & coincidentally, Yuri is a massive fan of Whee In as she was the one that was literally fangirlling during Whee In's performance]
That moment when that girl appeared with moonbyul, I seriously somehow realized and remembered what korean standards were, I forgot about it until now cause I am continously watching mamamoo all the time😅
