- Part 18 of the project sees the bike being completely stripped of its engine and finally getting some real paint on the car! Blaze orange is the colour of choice, which for some reason on camera comes out red...still very happy with my choice. The body will be painted in the next episode!
Thanks for watching! :D
Great to see young guys like you doing something worth while, not out causing trouble and strife.
haha thanks Peter, no trouble and strife here....
Nice to see the good old carpet is still there :) such a personal touch to the garage....hehe
Great work guys 👍. waiting for the final result 😊
Paint must feel like a good stage nice work guys..
Great video once again, good to see you cracking on with it!
I hate to be that guy but I’d definitely advise you to seal up the gap between the FG boot floor and the metal before any water can get between them, something like tiger seal or sikaflex would do a great job there. 👌🏻
Thanks Matt, Yes that was done as I bolted the two parts together!
Adam White oh ok excellent, it looked like there was a seam that water could sit in.
You also have oversills fitted which you probably should open up to allow condensation to drip out
My Mini Cooper S in the Forza Horizon game is also red, this is my favorite color!🚘👍
Don't forget to protect you ears from the paint fumes, or you'll go deaf
Sorry? Did you say something? :D
The comments at the end are awesome. LMAO
Perfect Video 👍👍👍👍from Germany 🇩🇪 👋👋👋Kai
Such good videos just need more😂
Really cool
Great work, what was the paint system and mixes you used?
Did you find your painting got better the more you did? Only sprayed panels before and never a whole vehicle.
Practice is very important....so yeah the more you do the better you get. I would say I am inexperienced so much to learn. But the only way you'll get better is by getting stuck in. I tried on some old scrap panels first so its not the end of the world if you muck it up (which I did, many times!)
Don't you think...you could have just purchase the R1 engine instead of making bike of no use???
Yes I could have, although an engine would only be around £100-£200 cheaper than the whole bike...with the risk of it not being able to run before purchase. The bike was stripped and sold on therefore basically giving me a free engine, ecu and loom. The bike was in need of some work anyway, so was only good for spares really!
@@AdamWhite ohhh.. glad to know that... When's the next part 😛
@@HuzaifaGujarati Yeah, I didn't want to ruin a perfectly good bike, so took a while finding he right one. I'm waiting for parts now, so Part 23 might be out in around 2 weeks...
@@AdamWhite how much it cost you till now?? (I know we just can't value the perseverance of 4 years)
@@HuzaifaGujarati haha I have no idea! Probably don't want to know anyway....
Я надеялся что это будет реставрация
Но все равно интересно наблюдать за проектом
