i have said it before and i will say it again, i love your editing and cinema photography it inspires me to up my game with my videos. Fantastic idea with the inner rear window frame that looks super neat and i never knew your mini was an early mk3, i am guessing that by the twin bolt front subrame - nice. keep up the good work chaps, what sort of motorsport are you planning to do?

The window frame idea really came about because I didn't want to pay for an expensive new panel...quite glad I did now as I think my alternative is a bit better. Yes its a 1976 car and Im not really sure yet with regards to motorsport. Hill Climbs would be a cool place to start maybe!

hi. i have owned 18 minis and my father did his apprenticeship at downton racing and was a competative racer through thrc 60's.aĺl minis ( including lengthening the engine bay by just over 2" and dropping austin maxi 1.8l in).. if you are trying to restore this as they did in the 60's here are a couple of hints/ what they did bsck then. 1he dasboard from door to door eas covered over with a sheet of either thin steel or aluminium. the big old centre instrument cluster thrown away and a few vital dials - oil temp/pressure, water, engine temp, added along or around the " new dash" directly inline with the steering rack.no centre guages. the steering rack is a competition 2turns lock to lock. last rear suspension was adjusted by dropping large enough coins into the rubber cone. oh, and the switches either side of the ignition key was located were made easier to use by getting old pens and fitting them on the toggles to lengthen them by 2 or 3 inchesm just a shame you are doing a racing one as woth your work and some decent bits and pieces the car would be worth around 4 thousand wuid

I hope these guys are off getting some welding lessons. This is a great project, but I’m surprised that the welding remains so poor. Just the volume of it should have improved quality. Again, a great project, but please take a little time and upgrade your welding.

The rusty and rotten car has become such awesome I am quite amateur to the sheet metal of the car, but I was interested, moved, I was deeply impressed I wanted to see someone running at the end of the movie I'm sorry
I feel sorry for you. At first it was more rust than car. It has worked hard but in 15 videos not even half have arrived. It was preferable to have started with a better car. I do not like MINIS but congratulations for your effort.
That pile of iron oxide should have been sent to the crusher. Waste of time and money. Just a pile of badly welded together patches. Bet it's never finished .
It is really inspiring watching u guys doing this restoration with only basic tools u have. Really nice watching. All the best Adam.

great video, looks like lots of fun, careful when grinding welds, you can easily distort panels more so than when welding.
