This was extremely helpful. It finally clicked why the mosaic law was so restrictive. Their lives where a living ritual meant to gradually funnel the energy of the sephirot and bring God to earth over time.

What do you mean by the past tense? Was so restrictive? Were. We are still observing the laws and they are not viewed as restrictive at all. Those laws and our observance of them are eternal. Not a word can be changed, added to or subtracted

@@goldengun9970 I'm speaking from a perspective of mystical Christianity, so of course my interpretation of the law is going to be different. I mean no disrespect towards those who view differently. I'm only sharing how I, as a non-Jew, have come to understand the purpose of the mosaic law. I'm glad that you don't experience it as restrictive and when I say that I'm thinking of particular laws that seem strange to the average person, such as not mixing fabrics or the Sabbath observances.

I've learnt that Pardes / Paradise are also linked to the word Pardes we use in Hindi which means the "land/place beyond". Commonly people refer to is as a foreign land, but esoterically it means that place that is beyond our "normal" world e.g. heaven / kingdom of God etc.

I share this probably too much but i had a semi/waking experience that fits inside hekhalot/merkaba stuff? I am not super versed, but i do have a copy of some of it in English and it matches... To a scary degree. It happened before i had any systematic knowledge of this stuff, just a dumb kid from a christian background. Found myself before an entity (i would relay as angelic), was judged, purged of as much sin as possible, and the entity enveloped me, bade me gaze thru its own eyes (i was unworthy to gaze with my own) , carried me thru a garden with a stone path, atone walls. Everything was a fractal, and was infinitely complex, every stone in the path, every tree, every plant contained infinite multitudes... And i drifted thru this for a time before being told some stuff i will never repat, and crashing from there, thru the universe, and into earth and my body. I was merely meditating when i started, and i relate it as a waking experience but the truth of that is debatable.
I honestly just find so much of this information just... Reflects what's already happened to me, but I'm not Jewish and the closest Christians ever get to it is by way of gnostic thought and some mystics of dubious stature in orthodoxy...

Thank you. Enjoying fully. Have watched this, your lecture on Freud and Jung, and Zohar. Raised Catholic. Graduated lol. Found my way into Kabbalah through a Gnostic teacher. Introduced via Gershom Scholem as per my teacher’s recommendation. Hearing your commentary with Neal on things permitted in temple ( higher unified world) vs not permitted outside ( world of duality ) instantly brought me to Paul’s writings on “letter of Law” vs “spirit of Law”, and the Character of Jesus breaking laws. I have come to understand that “Jesus” was not an actual historical figure but rather a Pseudonym and a Kaballistic mystery. Christian Kaballists place the figure centered on tifereth, with feet on endurance and majesty and hands on chesed and din. The figure representing balance of divine feminine and masculine. I have also come to see the similarities between this figure and the stories of Metatron. Therefore when you discussed Carl Jung and his insights on tiferet it all spoke to me. Side note: I’m Irish American but recently found out at least 13% Ashkenazi ! Cheers from NYC. G-d bless you.

Just sharing a thought about the prohibition against improper mixing. In the modern Era we have a concept called transhumanism, and there are people who are pursuing a future where the human being is so thoroughly mixed with technology that it creates a new type of human...human 2.0. This reality gave me the insight that these seemingly archaic commandments had a profound eschatological meaning. The person repulsed at the notion of cheese on their hamburger is probably a lot less likely to embrace a chip in their brain. :)

Appreciated this very much, a few (scattered) thoughts and comments to throw out:
(Firstly synchronisticly I dreamt of shatnez last night so I liked that it popped up in this video of yours I watched today).
To the discussion of doing 'taboo' things in the Temple. This is a fascinating concept. (I recently learned that the Sabbateans were doing a lot of this).
I think Kidaishim or priestess and/or sacred prostitutes is somehow related to this.
There was the keriuvim images as well as all sorts of carved images described in Solomon's Temple.
(Insert the whole subject of the Freemason Prophet Hiram who is the "Architect" of Solomon's Temple.)
In my understanding, somehow unifying and paying homage to the shadow or sitra achar in a ritual way.
I'm reading Robert Johnson's book (he's a Jungian) on the shadow. He says that Religious ritual and ceremony is often meant (or originally meant) to deal with this. 'Religio' as in a 'ligament' linking all sides. Like you said beyond notions of good and evil.
That to the psyche the ceremony/ritual satisfies those aspects. Holy, to make whole. To heal. Tikkun.
(Unfortunately literalizing symbolic things can be quite a danger as well.)
The motif of the journey descending through the underworld to a paradise or throne is interesting too. (I tend to think of Soul as Descension and Spirit as Ascension if we care to make these distinctions).
Like you mentioned the throne figure is often described as ones own self as the deity. Jung describes this. I feel like this somehow relates to Adam kadmon.
(You had mentioned 'Guardians of the Threshold' and I can't help but think of Rudolph Steiner using that terminology).
Generally I think the unifying of Kudsha Brichuh and Shechina is very much the same point of Divine Androgeny described in alchemy as a Heirosgamos. A sacred marriage between the divine Feminine and Masculine.
I'm really glad you are doing this work. I've been loving your videos. They are really appreciated. Thank you.

28:00 You mention the cherubim on either side of the Mercy Seat as being idolatry. But the most important aspect of the Mercy Seat, is that it was vacant. The symbolism within temple objects were inherited from Egyptian ritualistic sources, the Ark (carrying the bones of Joseph) was his sarcophagus, obviously, with all the Egyptian sarcophagus figurative language attached. In Egyptian ritual, the throne would have had an effigy of Horus. This was removed by Moses to symbolise the unknowable, ineffable concept of G-D.

@@SeekersofUnity I got that translation of 'ma'aseh' from Jose Faur on page 25 of his book Homo Mysticus (he translates ma'aseh braysheet the same). It seems, as you describe in your talk here, that the 'procedure' of the 'practitioners' is about 'bringing down' ('yorday') / how to bring down God to His Home (the Haychal?). It seems to 'me' that in Isaiah 6 (see R' Hirsch's commentary to 'Haftoroth' Yisro) and Ezekiel 1, etc., the sins of Israel have 'lifted' God away from His Place (His 'deera b'tachtonim'/dwelling down here, as the Chabad Chasidim like to say), and it is our job (procedure / practice / mission) to bring Him [back] down to His Dwelling (Ex 25:8: "Make me a Dwelling, and I will dwell among/in you"). We all have our own way of doing this, and it is important to expose that this is what our ancestors have tried to do.

Although I am of Spanish Yahud ancestry through my mother, on my father side it is debatable because Baéz has several origins, Hebrew, German, Arabic and Greek
As for me, I was born, educated and raised as a Roman Catholic and influenced by Ancient Egyptian (Khemetian) Astronomical Theology, and Spirituality
MerKaBa Although is of Yahud traditions is composed of Ka and Ba, which is Spirit and Soul in ancient Egyptian, which correspond to the Hebrew, Ruach and Nefesh
If Mer is ancient Egyptian for light then, the MerKaBa is a vehicle of light composed of or the spirit and soul that when they are united according to the Khemetians system they become the Akh,
The Akh in ancient Egyptian is the Neshemah in the Hebrew that enters and become one with G-d
Then, the MerKaBa, I use my chariot to travel in SpaceTime to the higher worlds and to the worlds of the infinitesimal Universe
By connecting or attaching my spinal cord to SpaceTime, the Electromagnetic Field of the Earth and that of the Universe and it's Gravitational Waves and Field
Why, because for me as the reincarnation of a learned and power Akkadian and ancient Egyptian high priest and oracle, for me SpaceTime and Creation itself has memory and is like water in the sense that it has fluidity and acts like a transmitter and a receptacle
The MerKaBa or MerKaVa for me is a Time or a Quantum Bubble as I chant the Hebrew names of G-d in Hebrew and the 10 Sephirots of the Etz Hayim
Subatomic particles travel from Non-Being into Being and back to Negative Existence and the Etz Hayim becomes the shadow of my Ka and Ba within the Quantum Bubble
The faster I pronounced the Hebrew Names of the Holy One Blessed be, eventually my Akh, Neshemah and the Etz Hayim, the Kabbalistic Tree of Life merge into one and I and SpaceTime merge into one
I dissolves into Infinity and become one with G-d, Nature and the Multivers
Then, I find myself as the man within the Divine Form of the Heavenly Man and from within Adam Kodman I say "Yehi Or, Be Light"
I regain Consciousness and I am attached to the Cosmic Web of the Multivers vía my spinal cord feeding on the Quantum Pulse Energy within the fabric of SpaceTime and Reality

The kabbalah is also connected to gematria/numerology which is the same in jewish and arabic ie I mean the number equivalents to the letters are exactly the same in both traditions the quranic numerology is known as huroof e abjad or ilm e jifr leading back to descendent of muhammad imam jafir worth looking into I beleive that's where these two traditions actually embrace eachother in the mysticism of letters and creation as the sefer bihar mentions.

On Ezekiel's vision being considered the first mystical vision recorded in Bible ... what about Jacob's ladder ? Would that not be considered a mystical vision ? And isn't that before Ezekiel's vision ? Not that I am trying to argue ... it's something that popped in my head when you're talking about it .. Weather it's Jacob or Ezekiel is probably not relevant to the core understanding ... but I am curious about weather Jacob's ladder can be considered the first bibical mystical experience or not ... if not then why not.

    I recently read Ezekiel 43 and noticed verses 10-12 say;
10You, Son of man, describe the House to the House of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities; let them measure its plan.
11And if they are ashamed of all that they have done, let them know the form of the House and its scheme, its exits and its entrances, and all its forms, and all its laws and all its teachings, and write it down in their sight so that they keep the whole form thereof and the laws thereof, and do them.
12This is the teaching of the House; Upon the top of the mountain, all its boundary round about shall be most holy; behold, this is the teaching of the House.
    This same pattern description can be shown in Exodus 25: 8-9 when Moses was on the mountain;
8And they shall make Me a sanctuary and I will dwell in their midst
9according to all that I show you, the pattern of the Mishkan and the pattern of all its vessels; and so shall you do.
Does this not all reference to the sermon on the Mount that Jesus spoke of upholding the entire law, almost like diving into the commandments at their core? It sermon in a way humiliates man due to how we could never fulfill the law completely.

Seekers of Unity, what I really don't understand is, if the Torah, Talmud and Zohar really contain all the secrets of the universe, then how come haven't all people learning these texts transcended/become superhuman, etc? What's the point of reading a text, if it doesn't give you any power, leverage, advantage of any sort?

    • @SeekersofUnity
      @SeekersofUnity  3 роки тому +13

Maybe just maybe, the secrets of the universe are more than just about getting superpowers and leverage over other humans. This ain’t Marvel 😉 This is Mysticism.

    • @cj1871

Depends what you consider power or advantage and also the frame of reference within which you are expecting to witness the results, I certainly think that the Jewish people as a collective have achieved a level of greatness in this world which is wholly disproportionate to their population size, this is not by accident, it all flows from their belief system, culture and traditions.

"However, it is said in Genesis 14:18-20 that Abraham accepted the blessing of El, when Melchizedek, the king of Salem and high priest of its deity El Elyon blessed him."
That's a clear link between the Torah and the Nag Hammadi Codexes, and by extension the Ugiritic Texts.
So, not heretical at all, right? I know if Hasidic Jews could read those Nag Hammadi Codexes and Ugiritic Texts then Humanity can all come together ❤
Can you please ask a Rabbi if that's a big enough link to be safe to read?
Melchizedek has no genealogy so no beginning and no end. Sound like someone familiar? (Human form of El Elyon, I think.

No, idolatry was not allowed inside the Temple. The two cherubim were not idols. Whenever idolatry happened inside the Temple, God condemned it (see Ezekiel 8). The more I get to know about Kabbalah, the more I am convinced it is a force to destroy judaism.

This non Jewish person learned a neo Sabbatean form of Kabbalah when Zevi was excommunicated he like Paul’s followers put the Kabbalah before the non Jew especially in the later part of the last century with my own teacher . I see the orthodox crews trying to claw it back , they would not need to be doing that if they were not playing gatekeeper to the kingdom of the God , Jesus accused Jews of his day of locking them up and not allowing others to enter elitism and corruption , Zevi and his spiritual heirs were able to spread it,s teaching in much wider circles still taught very privately but the restrictions were solely in the hands of the rebbe , we believe the messianic injunction of revelation as we approach the messianic age
