Glad a few comments mentioned you can do it with so springers , we regularly go out to a 100 yards at our club , my LGU is doing about 11ft lbs and can still group well at that distance we've even hit firebird 40mm exploding targets at that range when its not too windy . Don't need a pcp to play out there.

An alternative: The zeroing block ZB_Lite is a universal mounting base that allows you to mount a variety of accessories to a gun weaver base, and allows you to change the elvation and windage to zero it. £100
I put tape with yardages on the size wheel of mine. Range>dial>shoot!
Took me 3hrs to set up.
.177 70yards in an inch with a couple of clicks.

You don't need a PCP. You can do it with a good sub 12 springer, too. I was at my club yesterday with my trusty HW95. There was a knockdown metal duck at 87 yards (you hit the head to knock it down and a circular kill in the centre of the body to reset it). I was chatting to the guy next to me, who had a very nice Steyr with a range-finding scope. He knocked down the duck and then attempted to reset it. After a couple of tries, I asked him the distance and he told me. I asked if he minded my having a go and he agreed. It was a windless day, so I gave it 5 mil dots of holdover while he watched through his scope. "Half an inch low" he said (his scope went to 50 mag - he told me he could see a wasp sitting on the duck). I gave it 6 and a bit and bingo. He was quite impressed and said do it again. I gave it the same holdover and down it went. Very satisfying. If you're trying to shoot long, a JSB Heavy (which my gun really likes) or similar is the way to go. I guess its because they retain more energy down range. A regular .177 pellet doesn't seem to hit hard enough at distance.

Utterly correct - Springers can do it - but I am not that good a shot. Thanks for watching. G

Love these mounts. Have them on a most off my rigs. Use them mainly to zero , optical middle, my FT rigs. And have them on my long range slug gun. FX Wildcat Sniper in 22. Was a bit weary about to easy to knock of zero, but that never happened.
In a perfect world the airgun makers could set the mounting rails at 20 moa and on some off them give us a bit more real estate, longer mounting rails. But the No Limit mounts give at least a way out of one off em.

Even though you’re talking sub 12 here, I’m really impressed that you’re stressing the safety, safety, safety element, as a great deal of non FAC shooters may not even consider that (plenty who would though before someone takes offence).

I rather liked this video. Giles, I too have the same exact Element Optics Helix, with same reticle!!:-) :-) :-)
I have my air rifle set to shoot JSB 10.34 gr pellets at 14.80 fpe, 804 fps. The 1.77 caliber trajectory is so much better. I have no need for the "no-limit" rings...
I'm zeroed at 30 yards, on my 6-24x50 SFP Element Optics Helix scope, 15MOA is the setting for 116 yards, although I try to keep my shooting from 15 yards to 100 yards...
I have used several decent scopes in the past like leapers 8-32x50, and even the Falcon 4-18x44 tactical FFP scopes. But after trying this Helix, I absolutely loved it!!! I mean, this thing is just an incredible scope for the money! VERY clear glass, and turrets are wonderful.
Note, most my kill shots when pesting/hunting are in the 75 to 90 yard zone, yep, I love this Element Optics Helix scope :-)
ALWAYS nice to see your videos Giles :-)
    Take care!

Some good info in this video and good on you for hanging in there and dialing in those groups, It's good fun trying to hit that mark especially when you know your close, Can this sort of shooting be done with a sub 12ft rifle that's using a gas ram and decent pointed pellets in .177 if it's at a indoor range?? Your groupings where pretty good considering the wind i bet you can nail it in better shooting conditions.

Love the video and yep its all fairly straight forward to do once you know what is required and also well done emphasising safety safety safety. There is a safer way, use Stretlok (or similar) to work out the mil/moa rise from 25 - 100. Then at 25m use the scope to measure out where to put a dot on the target for that (or ½ way and repeat twice) then use the adjustable mounts to move the 25m zero to that point and you should be on target @ 100. As the distance is short the subtention of angle makes it easier to keep on paper. By the way the 3000fms powder guns all use tilted (20moa) rails for long range too just the adjustable mounts dont like the recoil. Oh and for heavens sake learn to read the mirage, it was perfect as a wind coach!
