Vhb you inspired me to take my k20a3 block and go against what everyone says, gonna scrape up the cash and do what you been preaching!! Hope i can get the results to you soon enough
That’s why I put this motor together the way I did is to show people the a3 isn’t as big of a dud everyone makes it out to be. With the right combo of parts it can be a very nice motor just like all the other K’s

I got a k24a8 for free and a k24a4 for $200. Both were from running vehicles with less than 150k miles. I also got a td04hl-13g turbo for $100. I'm planning to swap out rods and pistons, vtec killer set up, gasket match port the head, and slap that turbo on there. I will be running 11.1:1 CR pistons, and I will be shooting for 15 psi boost. First, I need to do the chassis work as it is going in my first gen prelude. Oh, and did I mention it will be AWD. There will be a lot of fabrication, but this thing will be a little rocket.
Don’t know where you got that info from but it’s not true. This motor isn’t nowhere near 14:1 compression and is putting this much power down being conservative with the revs.
It's not a3 pistons did you even wat h the video there aftermarket pistons.....a2 pistons go right in to an a3 which alot of poeple do fororw compression

thats a pretty small turbo, hows the build going?
Im planning to go turbo eventually, got a matching set of z3 internals but am on the edge on using a3 or the a2 pistons

Which a3 pistons? Custom? Would need to be about 14:1 compression for that hp level on 2.1 ish liters at 9.5k rpms.

Revving the stock a3 rods and valve springs to 9.5k⁉️
Taking a closer look at the valvetrain looks like it's upgraded, but yeah would recommend stock rods to that level 😁
Built head (dual valve springs and titanium retainers), stock a3 rods and brand new rod bolts from Honda.

Can You get the same result decking the block and\or head tu raise that compresión instet?

Pretty new to Honda's but I got a k20a3 and got a free Z3 head and internals. Can I swap the heads and internals?
You can headswap and use the pistons. Rods won't fit the a3 crank
