I read something else that pretty much ties into this. When Genghis Khan ended up conquering Persia, which is more or less modern-day Iran, he wiped out 90% of the population. It took until the late 1970s for the population of Iran to be back to the population that it had before Genghis Khan went in and almost wiped them out. That’s how devastating his revenge could be.

i’m conflicted right now. It’s pretty easy to see historians being biased against Genghis. Maybe because they (the historians) were predominantly white and the Khan was asian and felt offended by the thought of an asian empire trampled a european one. But that’s just me.
Reading about the mongolian siege of razyan in Ukraine, I was devastated reading about “all of the inhabitants killed” but then I dug deeper into this and discovered that the people of that city basically told the mongols (who only wanted a tenth of the cities riches) that “they can have it all, if nobody is left”. And so the Mongols obliged. Such an arrogance lol.

Talk about khrazmians but showed Persians. First mistake i have noticed.
Also those Khrazmians wasn't controlled afghanistan or mostly Iran until Alawiddin Khrazemshah or Sanjar II, the heavily defeated by.mongols and Most in reality like he hoped he became Sanjar II because when he was died, Most territories except western and Central parts of Iran, lost to the Mongols.
KILLING envoy was really bad thing ever happened to him. But his father and great grandfather also killed Kara Khitai envoys front of everyone and after all Kara Khitai Kharazem wars started again but always they won. In fact, his dad Takash added some territories from Kara Khitais. Common sense from that they were medievel people and they believe fairy tale stuff and Luck. Logic had already left them. And they probably thought Gengis was Kara Khitai because he was also neighbor from East. That means that Alawiddin person ended 2 Empires (Ghurids and almost Kara Khitais) even sieged Baghdad controlled more than 25 emirates, all of them made him believe that he could beat Gengis was just 2 or 3 years. But Gengis Khan really badass and was so furious because they have killed his own friends in Otrar.
