    I’m testing this juicer. I have been a juicer since the days of Jack LaLanne’s juicer because my Mexican mother used to own one and we were raised with fresh homemade juice. Because I juice for myself now, this works for me. It’s small, quiet, easy to clean and I am satisfied with the produce to juice ratio. I find that the nutritional value is totally worth the investment. However, if you are juicing for a larger family, you may want to consider a different option. I’m happy with it so far. Thanks for the review. 😊

    I knew nothing about them until a few months ago. But juicing fruits and vegetables goes right into body. Absorbing all there vitamins and other stuff quickly. Juicing is good for people not getting enough fruits and veggies in there diet. And if you want the fiber that is where smoothies come in. Doing both seems to help.

    • @TheAverageKitchen

      I want a juicer really bad, but i remember in school, you need to chew your food so that enzyme called amylase breaks down starches (complex carbohydrates) into sugars, so its easier for the stomach to absorb. If im straight chugging it and not breaking it down, im getting less nutrients.

      The ninja juicer is a cold press juicer. The juicer is slower. Therefore, you yield more juice nutrients from it, The other ones have a blade, which are called extractors. which most of them are extractor juicers. The juicer extractor generates heat from spinnig. Because they generate heat causes. You're not to get as much nutrition from them as you, Because the heat damages the enzymes from the fruits and vegetables. You don't get as many nutrients you would a cold press juicer.

      Let me correct some things you said, with all due respect. You must some of the pulp back to the pulp. Vitamins in juice go out of you as easy as they go into you, when not attached to a carbohydrate. With that said some juicing is good for you, but with the fiber

    I’m mostly interested in juicing carrots and sometimes ginger. This will be slower than a centrifugal juicer with a blade but the point is supposed to be about the vitamin and flavor quality by avoiding the heat. Would love a basic yield / color / flavor comparison with your Breval.

    I have the Breville one which I love, but I only use it for celery, so I am going to purchase this one instead. Easier clean up. Less noise. Space saving. Also, the metal filter on the Breville one is beginning to grind against the plastic housing, causing micro plastics to be in the juice. Really aggravating. This one looks perfect for celery juice snd ginger shots. Fruits, not so much.

    juicing benefit is the concentration of nutrients from certain fresh/whole produce options that your body can benefit from when/if you're sick or need to catch up on certain supplements. i suppose there is some risk in taking too much of a "good thing" when you're cramming in concentration of certain produce. BUT if you're aware/measuring what you're consuming, juicing has a nice place in the regimen. I'm a fan of blending bc you get the pulp and juice. blending I have used as a replacement meal... my only problem with blending is that you can't just shove a bunch of stuff together, but the wrong combo can yield a mulchy wet mess that's hard to down the pulp alone.
    I'm looking forward to using the pulp from this juicing for a type of gazpacho or in my soups. will be great to get my bulk in as well as improve hydration just through eating :)

    juicing vs consuming, when juicing fruits it avoids the chewing process, which adds saliba to the fruits, thus, bypassing the process of adding an enzyme that prevents fruits to become glucose, so if you have diabetes issues I recommend to consume fruits instead of juicing.

  • @honestnewsnet

    Just throw it all in a Vitamix and drink it with fiber and all. Why remove the fiber? If you don’t want the fiber just strain the juice. However with the Vitamix you won’t have any pulp.

    This juicer is not meant to take large chunks or to be quick. It’s a masticating juicer. It’s meant to be slower. More juice is pressed from items juiced. Also less heat transfer which retain loads more nutrients.

    Not a nutritionist but my logical thought about juicing it vs eating it is that I’m not gunna sit there and eat four whole oranges but I’ll sit there and drink four oranges worth of juice and therefore net more nutrients.

    I had a 700.00 green life cold press and leafy greens still juiced best by alternating apple or cucumber along with it. I have an omega now and I still put a lot of time preparing and cut into smaller portions, why make your juicer work so hard. They will last a lot longer. I put music on and enjoy the time…

      @@TheAverageKitchen I watched a video comparing centrifugal vs masticade juicers, and I realize the masticating juicers were better because they keep the vitamins and flavors intact thanks to the no heating process. Apparently centrifugal juicers need a lot of power to process food at the speed they do, so this engine would heat up and elimante the oxygen of food, thus losing nutrients in the process.

    • @LouRao
      @LouRao 15 днів тому +1

      Yes. Any type of juicer that does not create heat is considered a cold press. A Centrifugal Juicer has a filter basket with sharp blades in the center. The filter basket spins at a high rpms causes a small amounts of heat that may lead to some loss of the nutrients in the vegetables or fruits. A cold press juicer has an auger that rotates and crushing the vegetables or fruit’s in a very slow rpm limiting any form of heat.
