Hi Gabby.. I started learning english about 6 months ago, january 2020. I'd like to learn english so that I can read any books and any news in english. Now I Can read almost any novel in english, sometimes finishing one page without taking a look at dictionary. Wikipedia in english is not a problem anymore for me... Since my first goal only for reading capability, then I quickly realized that soon or late I would had a situation where I need to speak to someone in english. So, speaking now has become a new difficult exercise for me... as speaking is not easy as reading, I created a situation where I can immerse myself in english throughout the day by watching and listening any media in english. No subtitle. If a word or sentences i never heard before approach me, I will rewind it until I found exactly the meaning of the word or the meaning of the sentence.. well, so far it's helps me a lot and also improved my skill in hearing and speaking... I almost totally agree. Traditional method is not even close to be perfect. But out of everything, good or not so good as it might be, there's something you can learn... I mean, everything adds up at the end of the day. But definitely agreed, when you feel stuck you need to shift.

Hey Gabby...if I could remember correctly...I beg your pardon, might I'd forgotten your right name...so happy watching you after years. Cause you're energetic and hilarious as same as all other time. Chase your way ...your impressive and transmitting method of teaching and relationship,🤗
Thanks for the great video. You’re absolutely right. One has to interact with native speakers to really improve their English skills. Americans don’t necessarily talk the way an English teacher talks. I mean, you have to know the rules, but in real life you’re surprised how differently native speakers express themselves. Podcasts are great for listening to spontaneous human interactions that aren’t scripted. They are even better than English movies because in podcasts the speakers try to avoid mumbling. The only “problem” is that for example in the States with its various accents you hear completely different pronunciations for some words. That can be unsettling because you don’t know if your pronunciation is incorrect. So, as you said, one should try to stick to one region (British, American or Australian) when learning English and - I’d add - try to stick to one accent/pronunciation without worrying too much if it is perfect. You’ll get more confident over time.
that's why i understand about 97% gaby's words but just 7% of australian tourists in my country indonesia. gaby speaks in basic slow and clear american english
Thanks a lot Gabby. Your advices are really helpful.I wish I had enough time to implement them with my 7 year- old son who require really good attention...
