We've also got to give some credit to Sean Payton. He was the one who often managed to make something out of Loomis' head-scratching roster management. He saw the promise in Kamara, Taysom, Jimmy Graham, Pierre Thomas and others who we were able to obtain cheaply and coached them up. We also had our fair share of injuries in the Super Bowl XLIV run. Without his stewardship, we are floundering. Dennis Allen and likely Kubiak don't have what it takes to coach through adverse situations like Payton did.
Yes, Mickey needs to go. This man was the architect of the worst defense in league history that wasted years of Drew’s prime. He should have been fired in 2016 but Jeff Ireland (who has also worn out his welcome, this man got ran out of Miami for a reason. He’s been living off 2017 for too long) was brought in to fix all of Loomis’s roster screw ups. The whole staff needs to go except Darren Rizzi and a few position coaches. But Loomis is the head of the snake, everything starts and stops with him.
I’m glad Loomis’ actions are finally being put under the spotlight. The painfully slow decline of this team is mostly his fault. I’d also add, “look forward” to what??? What future does this team have at the moment? We don’t have tons of draft capital, we don’t have tons of high-ceiling young players, and most of our veterans are on the verge of retirement and costing us most of our cap space, even after they retire or leave in FA because of all the restructures. He’s done everything in his power to cover up the flaws he’s created, and the players and fans bear the cost.
@SilverScrub2 the Saints haven't had any midly successful GMs ever outside of Loomis. So for you to say he's the best we've ever had and yet he's done nothing outside of ride on the curtails of Sean and Drew..., that bar is set pretty low
Sadly, when the fans start wearing bags again and stop going to games because of Loomis' dysfunction, they will threaten to take their disastrous show on the road to San Antonio again, or perhaps Europe. Loomis is like a bag of beignets that's been sitting out in the sun, humidity, and rain for six months--of no more value. He should have been fired with DA last season. Unfortunately, Saints fans are STUCK for the next 20+ years because I don't see Gayle Benson firing him or DA because they are like family to her since she has no children. I live in Greater Los Angeles and I am happy I don't have to see Loomis' mug every day on the news, but when I do see him online, I want to throw up! I'm SICK OF HIM! He believes the 2010 Super Bowl gave him a lifelong appointment as a Supreme Court justice. And DA is more secure than Andy Reid is in KC because of Loomis. Go figure!
Broncos 24-9 on Thursday...pretty much expected...Mickey still says after game that "there's a good team in that locker room..." What's happening is what always happens when organizations are poorly managed - they slowly deteriorate and collapse... they are destroyed from within...they've wasted way too much draft capital on guys like Penning, Davenport, Foskey, Turner, Miller, etc, etc. and it has finally caught up with them.
Mickey Gaslighter Loomis has lost my respect when he says it's not the results that matter. Ironic if Payton in all intensive purposes ends the Saints season. Although it was effectively over last Sunday. The Saints deserve to be embarrassed on Thursday.
You know, I would waste my breath and say they need to fire Mickey Loomis, but seeing as he’s part owner, I mean what the hell the fans just need a boycotted until they do something with him. He is the worst GM in the history of the Saints franchise and I don’t care about a Super Bowl win because that was Drew, Brees and Drew Brees alone.
The receivers that rattler will throw to may be more disciplined due to the opportunity.. because the players are the ones completely missing assignments and blowing coverages.
i wouldn't say that he ruined the franchise i would just say that he is past his prime in regards to GM age. We need to get a more younger GM....Injury's have been ridiculous for the team the last 3 or 4yrs which to be honest is the biggest issue. I say that because when healthy they look good as a team all around. Just my thoughts not a bad team just a very unlucky team with no sense of urgency in my eyes.
in answer to your clickbailt title....hell yeah...but the hard part would be to convince Gayle that. Fans already know but guess what...We fans don't matter to Gayle of Loomis...she's in love with the guy so he's got a lifetime get outta jail card. As far as WR injuries..it's not just them it's the whole fucking team who has too many injuries
Sean Payton didn't "Bail" on us. Hes a grown man. He did what he felt was best for him and his family. You should be bowing down to the man who won us a championship
Every NFL team it starts with the front office and our front office has screwed up big time!
Saints in cap hell EVERY SINGLE YEAR. All because of Mickey Loomis.

Tom Benson did the Saints dirty by trusting Mickey Loomis. We should be calling Gayle out
1000%
? Where do yall find this level of hate for the job he has done? He is the only gm that has done anything for us
@SilverScrub2 that bar is very low
@@WhoDatBoy9 how does a bar get set?

Mickey Loomis and Dennis Allen both need to get fired
Yes Mickey Loomis and that whole front office has ruined the Saints organization no doubt about that whatsoever

Gayle needs to divorce her children and find some smarter ones
It all boils down to them being lazy.
@@OSSM_trauma Management? You bet. Lazy and incompetent would be fair.
Franchise is CORRUPT. Rotten from the top/owner on down.

Caught up with us 3 1/2 years ago
@@geoffhoutman1557 Maybe more than that...thanks for correcting me.

Put a 70 burger on us!

Yes. The NFL designed this after our debacle on TNF last year.
Those really good drafts that we had the one w Colston and the one w Lattimore those made us good

How is he part owner? Gayle did a 60 minutes about the will and she owns the whole thing and will sell when she dies and give NO the cash.
Delusional who did drew draft who did drew trade for who s
Did drew get in free agency jesus get a grip
If #MickeyLoomis doesn’t do what’s RIGHT now, I’d have to say yes.
Can we call up the st. brown brother or how about that dude we cut that ran a kick back a hundred yards in pre-season?!!
Not only saints but pelicans also
This gone be like that Ian Book game 😂😂😂
Shaheed has a catch rate of 48%. He has no business getting all those targets. Carr should be ashamed of himself.
He needs to be fired too
Mickey Mouse Loomis is a freaking joke
Yes he has. He has been trash for years. Worst GM in the league (yes, worse than Jerrah) pure trash. WAKE UP GAYLE FFS
sounds like the preseason lineup...everyone knows how preseason games suck!
RiP to T Bob's testes.. In the words of money Mike. It's gonna be ball juice everywhere.
Now Trevor Penning is our best offensive player outside of Kamara 😂
Bitsh needs to go too!
Yes.
The answer to the question of the title
Yes.
Best case scenario is Mickey Loomis gets kicked upstairs and Dennis Allen gets fired
This is the Dennis Allen and Derek Carr's Burnt Roux Era!
Wait wait wait. Weren’t you guys saying we need to go get a 32 yo wide receiver as if we were a WR away from a Super Bowl??? I believe you were.

Bring back two a days.
Watch us cut up
We’re becoming the old Detroit lions
Mickey Mouse club house that’s what this feels like
