I'm 67 and after the first time I used a hand pump I ordered a compressor !! Lol with a bad valve in my heart I'm too damned old to use a hand pump !

I'm 79 and while this is a high quality pump that performs well, I did the same and ordered myself an electric 4500 PSI pump for under $200 on Amazon, including taxes & shipping.
Great Jobs Nib! I have the same looking pump with a different name. I'm the same age and I pumped up my Beeman Commander from zero to 2900 PSI. 232 strokes later and I was all good. I do it in 50 pump intervals tp keep the pump o-rings from getting too warm. It's a good work out and I hand pump all my PCP's.
Wes @airgunarcheryfun recommended me to do 50 pump max too!

Hope you're not calling me Nibbs 😂 great video. I've got exactly the same pump but doesn't have vevors name on. Mine gets Very warm after around 15 pumps ill leave it to cool down then start again. The first time i used it it was fine the second time it started off fine then wouldn't put air in i bleeded off the air from the pump and all this white bits came out. Looked like snow. I took it all apart cleaned it all out and put new filters in. Luckily none of the white stuff got into my gun. Now when i uses it as soon as it starts to get worm ill leave it till it cools right down before i start pumping again.

This is a quality pump that is easy to assemble and performs well with no leaks whatsoever. At age 79, I purchased an Arrow Gamo PCP to defend my chicken coop against vermin such as skunks, opossums and raccoons. I'm not in bad shaspe for my age, but when I hit around 2500PSI (roughly half the gauge on my gun) it became very hard to complete a full pump stroke so I found a 4500PSI dual voltage electric pump on Amazon that shipped to me at under $200, so I went for it. I'll keep the hand pump as a backup....
I use mine almost every day. Still going strong!
I only use mine up to around 3k. Beyond that I don’t weigh enough to push the handle down
I can't get mine past 2500, beyond that, it feels like the shaft of the pump is set in concrete. But it's me, not the pump!@@WalnutandSteel
I have pumped my notos up to 3650 once with the hand pump but it was nearly impossible
Just hearing that intake hiss and then all the pumps before getting resistance is making me second guess wanting to shoot my Marauder tomorrow. Haha!
Gawd! I hate, just HATE pumping that gun up. I try and tell myself it’s just exercise, it’s good for me and not big deal but I f-ing loath the experience. 😂
Then in the other hand I don’t mind pumping up my pneumatics from shot to shot. I find it to be relaxing. Kinda weird…

Maybe someone will come up with a foot pump. Or better yet a double action pump where both the up and down stroke are compressing!
There was once a prototype with the same characteristics of the pumping system of the Seneca Dragonfly, but it was never commercialized. I hope those plans will be taken out of the freezer someday.

I am glad you had a positive experience all I can say is what Lowkey said don't pump them more than 50 x before taking a break I guess my ears we full of wax, I am dissapointed in mine as I know how to fix my issue but don't have the part to do so and support is a month out (part has to come from China, cough someone should ask why not keep some parts in the USA Nibs for faster support?) after reading reviews this is a very common issue and for them to not address the desighn flaw of the 3rd stage valve well this kinda forces me give them the lower review than I had orignally. Another tip don't just buy one get two cause two is one and one is none. When I get the funds I will go through your affilation link Nibs
thanks just purchased one and await delivery note all you air rifles great here in AU need permit for each one and license also MUST be kept in a approved gun safe have them sitting out like that bingo goodby if they call to check as they do from time to time ,need lic to purchase pellets ,times have changed here in AU once no problems now to the other extreme
After 5 months, my Vevor hand pump has this issue where the gauge pointer drops down. When it reaches the yellow, it gets super hard. It feels like a vacuum starts sucking the pump down, and it makes it almost impossible for me to pump it considering I'm 14 and weigh 130 pounds. Sometimes I just bleed the valve. Also my gun fills to 3000 psi.
Having the same exact problem, you ever find a fix by chance?

@@ianallard5453 "I found the issue; it was just an O-ring. I have a video on my channel called 'How To Disassemble Or Fix a PCP Hand Pump (ENGLISH).' It's a 15-minute video, but the other takedown videos I've seen are about an hour long. The problem with mine was that there is a cone with an O-ring. When you pump the gun, the cone comes up and puts air into the gun. Then it comes back down and seals it so the air from the gun can't come back up into the pump. The O-ring was damaged, so it was letting air from the gun into my pump."

I believe I got ~50 pumps to fill it {2200 to 3000) and I checked the temp 2-3 minutes after and it was barely 2°c more than when I started!
_Other than one of the threads that was weird looking where the gauge goes in yet it looks like a good budget option._
What do you mean you got 50 pumps to fill it 3000 are you saying that it only took you 50 pumps on your hand pump to fill your PSI gun from empty 0 to 3,000 PSI that doesn't sound right at all cuz everybody else has had to pump 200 pumps or more so what kind of hand pump do you have and are you sure your gun was empty when you started pumping and it only took 50 pumps so please respond with exactly what kind of an pump do you have and how many pumps it takes to fill up your gun and how many psi does your gun hold my Uber X Gauntlet holds 4500 PSI and it took closer to 300 pumps on my buddies and pump and it was brutal
@@jeremyfrancoisthemaddtrapp7538 the () was important it mentions from 2200 to 3000 so arround 50 pumps for 800psi and to build the pressure in the pump!

Yeah I've got a uberX Gauntlet G2 30 caliber and it holds 4500 PSI and it takes just over 200 pumps to fill it up from empty

Makes me appreciate my 3 litre 300 bar tank and springers more now..! I can fill my AA s400 28 times from 105 to 190 bar with the tank before it's £5 top up. That's around 3-4 tins of pellets. I think it would detract from my enjoyment of the hobby knowing each shot was going to be so many pumps...😐
I have some hpa conversion kits , but they don't fit my older cO2 guns. I will need to get the newer guns that they will fit. Do you own a daisy 188? I just got one, and I am surprised at it's accuracy! How about a review? Ever heard of crosman v300 pistol? How about a mondial zip? I have not owned them yet, but they are on my radar.

Great info. Looking to purchase my first PCP and without any experience with a pump been looking for content such as this. Didn't know whether to get compressor or pump, or maybe pump first and then keep as a back up or travel when I get compressor. It seems just having a pump for top ups at least is handy. I don't mind the effort, so will definitely get a pump. Now the only question is 3 stage or 4 stage and do I upgrade the moisture filter or even use two as I've seen some people do. cheers.
Hi should we be worried about moisture getting into the gun cylinder and damage it over the long run as some rifle manufacturer are warning ?
i would take some precautions when its not too humid I only use the little filter that comes with the hand pump but during the summer heat I use the larger unit I bought for using with my compressor.

Seams to blow off other end off connection of gun. ? Seals are good and fittings snug

I'm curious, about how many pump strokes does it take to get to 800 psi in one of your small capacity airguns, assuming you have a rifle with a tube cylinder type tank? (or a short tube tank if you have one).
800 psi? I don’t generally let any of them get under 1k
@@WalnutandSteel Yes, I understand, but I need a pump for a project not related to airguns where 800 psi is the max pressure. In any case, I think I got my answer from another guy... ~ 150 pump strokes to get to 800 psi. Maybe you can verify that if you get a chance?
I think the amount of strokes would be dependent on the size of the container you are trying to pressurize. Most of my pistol sized PCP’s take 70-80 strokes to get to 3000 psi from 0.
@@WalnutandSteel That's good to know. I'm pressurizing a small volume of about 30ml. Nowhere near the volume of an airgun.

To much pumping?
Best to use your body weight and let that take the pump in a downward direction, it looks like you are using your arms in a stereotypical pump fashion.Try the body weight drop way,its a lot easier .
