Thank you Dr V. Will you please consider tackling post-cancer and cancer treatment issues. Specifically after young women of colour like myself are "cured" but our bodies have experienced tremendous stress from the treatments. I was never plagued with sensitive skin before the treatments and I'm over 15 years cancer free and I have developed all kinds of skin issues...strange allergic reactions, eczema, etc.

I cleanse (moiz gentle face wash), moisturize (Cetaphil DAM), use 100% squalane (few drops, spread over my face) and use sunscreen (sheer zinc by Neutrogena as recommended by you in one of your videos). Should I use vit C by minimalist? How should I layer the products?

I'm currently using spf60 and I must say it's the best sunscreen , the only issue is that it balls up if you don't take enough quantity and spread it vigorously .
I use the spf 60 one and LOVE IT after searching for sunscreens for this long i am confident this one is THE one There is pilling but only if u take a long time to spread it bcoz it dries down fast as a natural finish but it doesnt pill upon reapplication I found the reason it pilled is bcoz i left it on my hand or my face for too long before getting to blend it in properly

Just, I do get confused about silicone, in one video you say it doesn’t clodge the pores, and in other about “The Ordinary worst” you say that silicons can be heavy for skin, aggravate acne and reduces the absorption of the product. Does that actually mean that just normal and non acne-prone skin is allowed to use product with silicons?

peeling is because of the pre serum application before applying the sunscreen and not giving appropriate time and rubbing to absorb it fully. This issue is with both the sunscreens from minimalist. (Review by my elder sister) I Don't use any serum pre and post the application of sunscreen from minimalist . So, never faced such issue

I am experiencing similar conditions but she said be careful with the retinol use you are flaking due to higher percentage of retinol. I experienced more flaking when I am using mineral sunscreen and white cast. I can’t find Colorescience in Canada as they are US based and they have distributors but that raised its price almost double. By the way best wishes for your wedding 👰

My best friend recently introduced me to your channel and i am in love with all that you are sharing. I came across this video after i ordered the multi vitamin sunscreen but after listening to you and realising it has retinol i cancelled the order. I am hyper sensitive to retinol even at night so the thought of wearing it in sun scared me. I ordered the Silymarin primarily because of NAFE safe. I shall share my experience with piling if it happens. Super grateful to you for sharing your wisdom. hey Dr Vanita, please make a video on reequil sunscreens specially their tinted mineral sunscreen , It's just so hard to find a good mineral sunscreen in India that isn't more than 1.5K (most range between 3 to 6K)
That's not true there are actually a lot of options. Unfortunately they haven't undergone extensive testing in terms of stability to back their spf claims bcoz sunscreen isn't considered a drug in India.
I was just wondering.. how is it that our ancestors did just fine without sunscreen and sunscreens are a must now as I can see everyone reminding everyone to wear sunscreen all the time .

We need Inzincable in India that too manufactured in India. Hope in that way it will not be costly at all. You are right, even for new age chemical filters also, we don't have a long term data (from health perspective).

Yes it’s more of chemical sunscreen but I think it doesn’t have Avobenzone, Oxybenzone, Octocrylene, Homosalate, Octinoxate etc which are considered toxic n more harmful than the chemical it has. I wud give this a try but read review that’s it’s not for oily skin

I need waterproof sunscreen, if I sweat or it mists the sunscreen runs, takes my makeup with it, ends up in my eyes, then my eyes turn to faucets and I get blinded.

Dr. V My daughter has polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), which is a hormonal disorder. She just started lazering face, sideburns and neck. Her skin is very sensitive. Any options to remove thick facial hair. As an adolescent she had to shave face daily. As a young adult threading, waxing, Nair and now lazering. Looking for permanent hair removal now for skin of color.
It doesn't work for me the minimalist spf 60 pills a lot for me and I've tried reapplying and again pills like crazy and the consistency of this cream on my face feels like Boroline or Boroplus (these are antiseptic cream you can Google them) maybe it works for other but not for me and I can't use the other one I'm still breastfeeding it has retinol so now I'm still searching for sunscreen that doesn't leave white cast,fragrance free and also pocket friendly .

Yes it’s more of chemical sunscreen but I think it doesn’t have Avobenzone, Oxybenzone, Octocrylene, Homosalate, Octinoxate etc which are considered toxic n more harmful than the chemical it has. I wud give this a try but read review that’s it’s not for oily skin
what are your thoughts on taking the moisturizer from the cerave tub and placing it in third party airless pumps? would you consider that worth the effort? thanks so much in advance

Hey Dr V…..I’m a huge fan of yours. I’ve been watching your videos for over a year now and I’ve followed a lot of your advice. I really wanted to get your Inzincable sunscreen but it’s very very expensive in India. Please do try to launch an affordable range in India as well.
I need waterproof sunscreen, if I sweat or it mists the sunscreen runs, takes my makeup with it, ends up in my eyes, then my eyes turn to faucets and I get blinded.
Can you please share if these sunscreens are heavy and/or greasy for very oily skin? That is my problem with most sunscreens after the white cast (when it comes to aesthetics)

It doesn't work for me the minimalist spf 60 pills a lot for me and I've tried reapplying and again pills like crazy and the consistency of this cream on my face feels like Boroline or Boroplus (these are antiseptic cream you can Google them) maybe it works for other but not for me and I can't use the other one I'm still breastfeeding it has retinol so now I'm still searching for sunscreen that doesn't leave white cast,fragrance free and also pocket friendly .

Is ahe really a dermat... I mean she tells Silymarin as a "cute name" seriously? Not a single time she mentioned Silymarin is actually a free radical scavenger which acts as antioxidant and prevents sundamage
She is not a dermat but a formulator, she said it many times.
