  • In this video I will go over the cost of where I am living and everything this price includes. I will also give you a little bit of detail about Nha Trang and why I think it is a better place to live compared to Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.
    If you have any specific questions about Nha Trang or anything else just let me know in the comments and I will get back to you!
    Cheers, Tyler

    I paid $300 us a month for a place twice as big with a full size fridge that was a 4 minute walk (1 block) from the beach. So there’s cheaper out there but it’s still an ok price, seeing as it’s Air B and B. I did rent monthly as well.

      What platform did you use to get that deal?

    Hey Tyler. Very nice video update. I just found your channel this past week. I plan on checking out your previous videos. I just moved to the Philippines with my wife and daughter. I'm 56 and from South Carolina. We have Vietnam on our list of places to visit within the year. So keep up the videos.
    I thought the rental price was very fair since everything was included and I'm thinking you said it was in a good location.
    I would like to know how you are spending your time. So do a video on your daily routines if you have time. Also, wondering how much time you spend in your apartment or do you stay on the go. Are you in vacation mode or living mode.
    And lastly, I was wondering how good the internet is there and if your WiFi in the apartment does well for you. Thanks.

      Thank you for supporting my channel Steve!
      These are all good questions.
      I don't spend much time at the airbnb during the day. from mid morning until about 6 pm I am out. I usually walk into the city and go to a cafe to work on editing and studying for personal training.
      The internet is great in Vietnam as a whole. Even better as a whole than a lot of places where I am from in the USA. The past 2 nights I have had some interruptions while watching youtube videos, but that's it. Make sure to just run the wifi question by the landlord of where ever you are loking to live before you pull the trigger.
      Good luck and keep me posted if you come out to Vietnam! I will keep posting videos like this to keep you and everyone updated on what life is like here.

    I just subscribed to your UA-cam channel and congrats on starting to be monetized on UA-cam since you just surpassed 1K subscribers🎉. I am originally from My Tho (Mekong Delta City), now living in SoCal next door to Disneyland. I like the way you take your time to explain things very clearly and easy to understand. May I ask how long will you stay in Viet Nam, when will you visit my hometown Mỹ Tho only 2 hours away from Ben Thanh Market? Also, are you using your savings for daily livings or teaching English in Viet Nam as well? I will watch more of your videos because you sound very down to earth and humble.

      Jonathon thank you so much for your words! I am not monetized yet I still need more watch hours but we are getting there!
      How do you like America compared to Vietnam?
      I am glad you can watch my videos and have a clear understanding of everything that is great for me to hear for feedback. I would love to visit your hometown someday if it fits in the picture! Your country is overall very beautiful.
      Right now I have money set aside that I am using to live I have not sent my resume out for teaching. I wanted to see what other parts of Vietnam had to offer for quality of life beyond Ho Chi Minh City.
      Again my friend thank you for your support and best of luck to you and your family!
      Cheers.

      @@tylerowenfit Good to know that you are heading in the right direction with your UA-cam channel, Tyler! I love both countries, America and Viet Nam since I feel comfortable using both languages. However, I like tropical weather and tropical fruits in VN and the cost of living in VN is much lower than America specifically in Southern California is way too expensive. I am looking forward to someday live in VN for 11 months and live in America for just 1 month to save money and return to the USA to visit my family members since all of them are now living in America. Check out My Tho City whenever you have an opportunity because the cost of living is even less expensive than HCMC.

    • @tylerowenfit
      @tylerowenfit  7 місяців тому

      That's a great plan. Gives you the best of both worlds. Keep me updated on this and good luck to you. Jonathan. I will visit My Tho if I get a chance!@@jonathanluong4855

    Depending on the area i would only want to pay 6 500 000 but if its Nha Trang maybe only want to pay 6 000 000 or try for 5 500 000
    I guess you are using air bnb again so they ripped you off again. Did they make you pay 9 000 000
    Bear in mind Nha Trang should be a bit cheaper than Da Nang

    A small cramped studio, well-equipped kitchenette, but no swimming pool or window insect- screens. For me, it would be worth $250 a month max.

    Need to get off air bnb. They charge too much and your supporting American business rather than locals.
    My advice and solution find an agent or go to the building themeselves to ask

    Do you find this experience isolating? Without a command of the language or travel buddy?

    • @tylerowenfit
      @tylerowenfit  6 місяців тому

      At times it can be lonely yes. But there are positives to traveling alone too. Just like most things in life there are two sides to the coing.
