Thank you for this Video. My Mother was born in Rogersville Tennessee. A baby of 10 Children. My Grandfather was a farmer. Jones is my Family Name. I live in Miami. Reminds me of being at My Grandma's. God Bless you and Rogersville.

I’m from Southeastern Kentucky and Rogersville is one of my favorite places to visit. My family and I love staying at Hale Spring Inn. Really enjoying your videos.

Neat stuff! I wonder if the people who lived there most recently had a clue about all the history there.

They probably had some ideal. i am sure that knowledge of what the house was, was passed on between neighbors. this house, and the one beside of it are sister houses, with the park behind it being the exact spot where David the elder Crockett and his wife were massacred by natives.
Downtown Rogersville is basically one giant historic house, they each have their own story to tell, and are all almost equally as old, with a few exceptions

Oh I'd live to metal detect this property. Who could I get in touch with to maybe try? I'd keep the ground as I left it, it'd just be me and one other person.

State Historian Dr Carrol Van West has been out here studying the home and grounds to try and best determine its proper history. As long as there are archeological studies going on they likely will not let anyone out there to metal detect.
