For those who haven't joined the F4 newsletter, you get to hear hits like Gavin begging Thomas not to piss in the shower again. Well worth your time. Great work, as always.
Gavin, I have to tell you. after a slow start, my 6 year-old now binge watches your channel, even when I'm not around. pretty fricking hilarious .......
Gavin I feel there is more to this stalker story! Still as they say what happens in Vegas... Good luck to you mate ;-) As for the animal voice overs this was spot on, hilarious. When you have enough material you will have to make a compilation video.
I loved the scene with the talking bighorn sheep. And you said, "the sheep here are nothing like the ones in Scotland." Right on! Priceless. And then there's your stalker. Listen Gavin, any woman bold enough to have a leg tatoo like hers has got to have something going for her besides just looks. She's quite, how to put it, easy on the eyes. Maybe it's time to just give in and enjoy. LOL Welcome back, Amanda.
They just get better. Brilliant video, brilliant photography, brilliant story. Only you can give Las Vegas even the patina of having any socially redeeming value. There's is something so wrong about Thomas' hat, it becomes right. Fantastic.
Great shot of the Big Horn. I love Valley Of Fire and was definitely looking to forward to spending a few days there being "Grumpy" but alas, as you know it was not to be.
Gavin, Classic!! As a Brit in his mid 50s all the time I'm watching the Bighorn sheep 'sketch' I'm recalling Johnny Morris and Animal Magic!! Shame I missed you guys in Vegas by 5 months.
Brilliant vlog from beginning to end, Gavin. Your conversation with the bighorn sheep had me in stitches. I’m saving my pennies to go on a workshop with you and Uncle Grumpy.
Love the Longhorn image - would have liked to see a long exposure in the semi dark when you first got up there - nice lit rockside behind you and silhouettes in background, magic.
Gavin, thanks for the laugh. I really needed it right now. You did come away with some beautiful images. I loved seeing your shots of the big horn sheep. Thank you!!!
I go to Vegas quite a bit, but rarely get to the strip. The desert surrounding is beautiful and the sunrise light amazing but the air is pretty dusty now. This time of year some of the valleys fill with fog in the mornings, shooting there is always a challenge, I’m taking the infrared camera next trip. You missed the clouds and rain and screaming winds by a couple of days, you got lucky 😄 beautiful shots as well.
Love it Gavin. Good effort shooting in that little cave. Love your vids mate and through these uncertain times it's always good to watch good vids with great humour.
We've been to the Valley of Fire last September and stayed on the campground. We couldn't breath even at night because of the freaking heat there. But the landscape is fantastic and i will return to the valley again. We had the same blue sky as you, but it's fun shooting there anyway. I like your pic of the little cave and the composition despite the "boring" blue sky. Photographers habe to deal with every situation and you did well! Cheers...
Well Gavin...not only are you a talented photographer, a brilliant comic, a great double act with Adam, a Brit, but also it would seem (possibly for the second time?) an impersonator of the wonderful Johnny Morris (Animal Magic). What a rich childhood we had...in the UK.
Valley of Fire state park is gorgeous. Spent four hours there a couple weeks back on my way to ‘Utah’ and was simply overwhelmed with it all. Planning on going again next March for the Outsiders conference redo.
Great video! Good to see you all in the U.S.! Perhaps when it is possible you should check out northern Idaho. I grew up there and the mountains and rivers are amazing!
Awesome video Gavin. Shots were fantastic! 💗👍 Bittersweet though... I was supposed to be there this week. 😭 But, in the grand scheme of things, its a trival problem. Thanks for the laughs. Need more of those. 😊
I would suggest you try a trip to Grand Junction, Colorado. The 2 major sights are The Colorado National Monument and The Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Parks. They are quite impressive and you will wish you had spent more time exploring the parks. There is also other sites not far away like the Walk Through Time Park where there are dinosaur fossils right along the path. I spent a 5 days in the area and it was far too little time.
Once again a great video made up of informative ideas and comedy. At the end I was waiting for you to open up the blind in the toilet and your stalker was looking through the window LOL
When I was there in December, I was location scouting on a few midday hikes with friends. Lots of cool rocks, etc but I did find the landscape so tricky composition -wise. I’m planning on visiting next winter and visiting my friend that lives 15 min away!
When we visited Vegas we went on a trip to the hoover dam, on the way back the driver got all excited about a few of those sheep on the side of the road and stopped. Everyone got out except four of us from wales, we had to explain we see enough sheep at home, in fact we’re related to quite a few
I know that you don't do a lot of b&w, at least I haven't seen many, but sometimes those boring blue skies work in b&w, especially b&w infrared. It's a cool place to explore. Thanks for the video.
Awesome as always, you guys deserves millions of views, i don't get that it's not the case already! (covid-19 wise for everybody, stay safe and strong!)
How about a week long valley of fire workshop! A scoutingshop maybe? Get the group campsite reserved and spend whole days nerding out in the area. There's another area called the bowl of fire that's a bit to the south of those mountains you were talking about. As near as I can tell it's completely unmolested by photographers, everything I've seen is from hikers.
I've got to say your stalker was looking very beautiful in her white dress. The skit with the big horn sheep was hilarious. Your videos never fail to entertain.
Gavin, I would love to see a video of how you do voiceovers for your videos. Your voiceovers are spot on every time. Cheers from Ontario! (P.S. the dialogue with the sheep was hilarious!)
Are you insinuating Adam is a cave man? Follow the light is great advice! Wish I had such a lovely and fun stalker. You’re lucky Amanda puts up with you! Black pool on steroids! Isn’t that where THOMAS grew up?🤣. That big horn sheep footage and commentary was great. Another fine video.
A tilt shift lens is a really underrated solution at times like these, it would have saved scratching the top of your camera and you could still have used the viewfinder. Shifting sideways can also get angles you might otherwise not reach. The Samyang 24mm is a gem and they even do a Sony version!
I've been to Vegas twice but didn't visit Valley of Fire because I wasn't a hard-core photographer. Next time, that's all I'm doing is the Valley. So inspiring!
They were not like the Sheep in Yorkshire. They would of been ramming you off the edge, and chasing back to the vehicle. Great vlog. Its a remake of the Dumber and Dumber toilet scene
One of the things I like you is like to make it happen in the camera. That how I am I don't own light room. But I'm looking to buy light room or something you or someone out there might recommend for beginner. Been shooting 35mm since 1977 and just upgraded to a sony a77ii so can use my minolta lenses. If light room is all I need information helpful ❤
The arch... was that elephant rock? Just curious. I live in the Vegas valley and plan to spend more time there if I don’t get killed by the virus. 😬😷 thanks for helping me get my mind off this quarantine rubbish
glad you and Adam enjoyed Valley of Fire. I go out there at least 4 times a year and been there twice in two weeks. Today, March 18, 2020, I went and found the Fire Cave and got some good shots. It was raining with great clouds/sky and just enjoyed it. Oh, was on the road and a group of 20 to 30 Big Horned Sheep darted across the desert and across the road where I was there the Visitors Center.
Great shots of the Bighorn Sheep! When bracketing shots do you take one just shy of blowing out the highlights and another short of blocking up the blacks?
For those who haven't joined the F4 newsletter, you get to hear hits like Gavin begging Thomas not to piss in the shower again. Well worth your time. Great work, as always.
This. Is. True.
That mountain sheep was hilarious 🤣🤣 But the caterpillar from last year still tops it!!!
Also, seriously just ask your stalker out already lol. You two are perfect together.
Thanks for the much needed laugh. "American" Tom's cameo was hilarious. The Valley of Fire is now on my list of must visit locations.
There`s more to this stalker than meets the eye.
"No no no no no no no" 03:45 😂 But really the image at 13:40 is hero quality. Jajaja. Tom's PB double dipping called out. Nasty.
Gavin,
I have to tell you. after a slow start, my 6 year-old now binge watches your channel, even when I'm not around. pretty fricking hilarious .......
Gavin I feel there is more to this stalker story! Still as they say what happens in Vegas...
Good luck to you mate ;-)
As for the animal voice overs this was spot on, hilarious. When you have enough material you will have to make a compilation video.
Found this channel from Thomas Heaton.. instantly subscribed! Binge watching the videos and they’re just AMAZING!!!
It’s great how you always manage to find talkative animals. You’re a right Dr Doolittle.
Hmm Oh I dunno.......
They just get better. Brilliant video, brilliant photography, brilliant story. Only you can give Las Vegas even the patina of having any socially redeeming value. There's is something so wrong about Thomas' hat, it becomes right. Fantastic.
Loving your channel Gavin..humour & amazing photography...and coffee. Don’t get any better 👏👌👍
Brilliant and wonderful all at once! Thank you... Jase
I'm with you Gavin. I couldn't care less about Vegas. Been there once. Don't need to go back.
Loved the cave shot. I felt the blue sky complemented the golden rock in the top corner, really well.
That was an epic shot of the bighorn. And it was great to meet you, the rest of the guys -- and your stalker -- in Vegas.
Gavin, thanks for the laugh. I really needed it right now. You did come away with some beautiful images. I loved seeing your shots of the big horn sheep. Thank you!!!
Gavin, this may be your best composition instructional video yet! Great mix of entertainment too. Happy self isolation.
Loved the sheep photos, great poses in good light.
Love it Gavin. Good effort shooting in that little cave. Love your vids mate and through these uncertain times it's always good to watch good vids with great humour.
The big horn sheep made me laugh out loud. Keep these videos up. Pleeeease.
The Goat conversation is hilarious ! I guess you are old enough to remember Johnny Morris !! Animal Magic ? LOL
Awesome guys! Can't wait for more...You are adding some bright spots in the days right now. Cheers!
We've been to the Valley of Fire last September and stayed on the campground. We couldn't breath even at night because of the freaking heat there. Love the hair when you have the headlamp on. Don't let Stalky see or you will be in even more trouble ....
I know im late but I think this is my fav video so far.. Adam is so funny in the limo.. I’m really glad to learn there are others who hate vegas..
Well Gavin...not only are you a talented photographer, a brilliant comic, a great double act with Adam, a Brit, but also it would seem (possibly for the second time?) an impersonator of the wonderful Johnny Morris (Animal Magic). What a rich childhood we had...in the UK.
Gavin well done, thanks for the laughs! Keep up the great work and you do need to tell us more about the stalker!
Valley of Fire state park is gorgeous. Spent four hours there a couple weeks back on my way to ‘Utah’ and was simply overwhelmed with it all. Planning on going again next March for the Outsiders conference redo.
Thanks so much for NOT replacing the sky! :)
The coffee scene. Omg hysterical
Red Rock Canyon is a very beautiful place near Vegas. I would love to go back to photography and camp that area.
Great video! Good to see you all in the U.S.! Perhaps when it is possible you should check out northern Idaho. I grew up there and the mountains and rivers are amazing!
Blackpool on steroids, LOL!
Dialog with the sheep, was A+!!
Awesome video Gavin. Shots were fantastic! 💗👍
Bittersweet though... I was supposed to be there this week. 😭 But, in the grand scheme of things, its a trival problem. Thanks for the laughs. Need more of those. 😊
Love the sheep talk at the beginning. 🤣
Brilliant bit at the end Gavin! I needed a good laugh. Keep ‘em coming. Cheers!
This is just getting better and better! I take my hat of to you guys! .
Once again a great video made up of informative ideas and comedy. At the end I was waiting for you to open up the blind in the toilet and your stalker was looking through the window LOL
Great video as usual, always interesting. Thanks for the humour, we need it now. I cant wait for the full outome of th F4 project.
"Blackpool on steroids!" Love it!
When I was there in December, I was location scouting on a few midday hikes with friends. Lots of cool rocks, etc but I did find the landscape so tricky composition
-wise. I’m planning on visiting next winter and visiting my friend that lives 15 min away!
Oh my, there's a lot going on in this video! My day just got 1000% better! As always, another excellent video Gavin!
Excellent as always, funny as, you Pat are mad
Watch out you don't wake up married to your stalker while in Vegas :D
Epic video as usual.
When we visited Vegas we went on a trip to the hoover dam, on the way back the driver got all excited about a few of those sheep on the side of the road and stopped. Everyone got out except four of us from wales, we had to explain we see enough sheep at home, in fact we’re related to quite a few
I wasn't gonna say it....
I know that you don't do a lot of b&w, at least I haven't seen many, but sometimes those boring blue skies work in b&w, especially b&w infrared. It's a cool place to explore. Thanks for the video.
I love Valley of Fire!!! Was able to get a nice Milky Way image there. I still haven’t been able to get a sunset there.
Awesome as always, you guys deserves millions of views, i don't get that it's not the case already! (covid-19 wise for everybody, stay safe and strong!)
I learned a new word...”crotch boulders”. Can’t wait to use this in everyday conversation!
This video is a great tonic to everything that's going on, keep them coming 👍
Fantastic another awesome video that capture of that mountain goat love that, always look forward to your videos appreciated 🤗
LMAO you guys are so funny, love it.
That part with the talking sheep was hilarious.
Lol 😂 you never disappoint. Thanks guys 👍
Another great episode Gavin...you guys are a riot :-)
Made this one my video of the week on my channel. Keep them coming. Cheers, Ian
Thanks muchly Ian
Being a wildlife photographer, I would likely have totally abandoned landscape for those sheep. Nice vid, thanks.
"Crotch Boulders" lmao... great video Gavin.
(P.S. the dialogue with the sheep was hilarious!)
everyone give Thomas a "Yeah brother!"
"Crotch boulders" . . . . . . . another fototripper gem I'm desperate to throw into a conversation in the hope of appearing equally witty 😆😅😂🤣
Haha Blackpool on steroids love it. Your talking sheep made me chuckle lol.

I've been to Vegas twice but didn't visit Valley of Fire because I wasn't a hard-core photographer. Next time, that's all I'm doing is the Valley. So inspiring!
Wish I could find a talking sheep! Blackpool on steroids LoL Btw that might be wild sage growing among the red rocks. Great vid, Thank you Gavin :)
Nice photos of the two rams. The second one clearly several years older.. Carry on with the humour.
when you get married to Amanda, grumpy bestman bridesmaids' heaton and greg and nick as your page boy
If you get married to Amanda I want to perform the ceremony! Long over due for a trip to BC.
They were not like the Sheep in Yorkshire. They would of been ramming you off the edge, and chasing back to the vehicle. Great vlog. Its a remake of the Dumber and Dumber toilet scene
“Crutch-boulders” ha ha 😂🤣
Loved it! But that sheep is a goat bro 😂😂👏🏻
God this is good
Get it on with Amanda for all our sakes 😂😂😂
Brilliant tres-mendous video. It was weird seeing you as the sensible (ish) one in Vegas.
Crotch boulders - pmsl 😂
One of the things I like you is like to make it happen in the camera.
That how I am I don't own light room.
But I'm looking to buy light room or something you or someone out there might recommend for beginner.
Been shooting 35mm since 1977 and just upgraded to a sony a77ii so can use my minolta lenses.
If light room is all I need information helpful ❤
Currently self isolating and just what I needed 👌
The arch... was that elephant rock? Just curious. I live in the Vegas valley and plan to spend more time there if I don’t get killed by the virus. 😬😷 thanks for helping me get my mind off this quarantine rubbish
No, that's the on the other end of the park. It's cool and all but totally overshot.
Amazing animal! What a pose, the things that he said to you! hahahah
Much more from Amanda man!!!
glad you and Adam enjoyed Valley of Fire.
Oh I could show you places in southern Utah/Nevada that nobody shoots that are just as epic.
Gavin. Let me know when you're finished with "The Stalker". I think she's very fit!!! - J A - UK
Valley of Fire looks so beautiful, but somehow I was never able to get good images here. This place is kind of cursed it seems.
You never fail to crack me up 😂
I would absolutely love to travel with you and experience all of these locations! I suppose thats what the courses are for haha, amazing
Wonderful scenery and a bit of fun - great stuff! Looking forward to more videos (perhaps without toe-nail clipping and pink bath-caps)..
Great shots of the Bighorn Sheep! When bracketing shots do you take one just shy of blowing out the highlights and another short of blocking up the blacks?
It depends on the light. When shooting directly into the sun I'll bracket wider, maybe up to 5 brackets but usually no more than 3.
@@fototripper Thanks Kingpin
Great job mate.
So entertaining, I love it!
Can’t believe you did that to Thomas.... he is such a nice guy.
You could certainly have a future as a wildlife photographer.
