Been having my stage 2 for almost 2 months and it looks, feels, and SOUNDS awesome! You can pretty much do everything you will ever need with this little animal. Have a Headrush Mx5 and while that was my entry into this technology and i like it a lot and you get SO MUCH bang for your buck with it..... it was way easier to get the sounds i wanted with the ampero stage 2 out of the box. Great videos by the way!🤘
Great comparison. Nearly impossible to differentiate and impossible for me to tell which is which. I did also some AB comparison between my original Ampero and a few Synergy modules (SLO, Friedman and IIcp). It is also very close and sounds crazy good when running back to the fx return of tube amp and cab.
i just purchased the AS2 and will show up soon. after seeing this video today, glad i did. almost impossible to split the difference between real and faux.
Track 1& 3 B had a warmer feel to them. And I could tell it was the amp, but track 2 B I thought was going to be the same amp. Which goes to show just how similar they are.
Not much of guessing, I could clearly hear which one was the ampero, it sounds thin... Just got mine last week to downsize and replace my tonex pedal but cant get it to sound right, I will have to settle with my current rig.
Im thinking A is the amp...on the upside Jay, I snagged an Ampero Mini and its all your fault! Nevermind boxing up my Jet City 22H for Epic Amplification...
Cabs are about 74% of the tone. I found my stomp is best with heavy amps. The clean fenders and the over drive pedals, some modulations let it down compared to my helix, especially the rotary sound which i use a lot in the helix.
I appreciate you checking it out man! I’m with you - I would have struggled to tell the difference if it had come in to me as a mix job or something like that! They sound close. Have an amazing day!
So close it's hard to tell which Is which. That being the case the Ampero II Stage at $700 is a much, much, better choice compared to the $3000 of the Soldano. We're seeing the dawning of a new era for guitar players...
In a recording is very difficult to perceive the differences, because both signals become a digital signal before gettin back to sound. In a live situation the valve tubes shine much warmer and more intricate.
Bought the stage based on your videos, hope you do more videos with it. you're awesome!

Same experience here1
Your playing is such an homage to Lynch; really great stuff!
At first, my thought was that number 2 sounded less correct, more "digital".
That was interesting.
I'm definitely saving for one of these.
I only guessed one hahaha is almost exactly the same. Awesome video Jay. Absolutly love it.
Well.. I guessed wrong on the first clip. Both sound great though! I agree that the connection is often lacking but boy it's close now.

I played along and got it wrong! ampero ftw. great video
Love your videos brother! Can you do a video of the Ampero 2 stage through a FRFR live run.. I may consider leaving Head Rush for this pedal..

Fantastic! Enjoy it when it arrives. It is a very cool unit. Have an awesome day!
Dave Friedman raves about these!
I could tell a difference but both sounded really good. If I had to pick one that I liked more, it would be the B track that sounded better.

@@jeffallen3382I bet lowering the treble a bit on the ampero would make it sound very similar to the amp in track 1 and 3.
@@mangoesDB most likely. I agree.

I was unsure on track 1, both sounded amazing, but track 2 had a nasty hiss on B and that gave it away.
Is there any Global EQ that you have apply to get a better tone and avoid to sound digital?
Hey dude, I didn't apply any global EQ when I did this comparison. Hope that helps. Have an awesome day!
@@jayguitar thanks Jay!

I was wrong all the time. Ampero sounds better than real amp. Amazing. Also, bad news for the amps. I am going to sell my ENGL for sure.
They are so close it's negligible, but if I had to bet, I'd say A is the amp.
Sound the same. awesome!
I got it wrong…. But there is no wrong they both sound amazing….

With a loadbox and an ir the comparison is pointless. At least when you want to replace an analog signal chain with a digital device.

Then on track 3 opposite!
25 seconds in and i think A is the real amp, but after listening to track 2 i questioned it.
Fizz on A in isolated, no Fizz on B, in the mix no dif!
A SOUNDS A BIT FOR FORWARD AND DEFINED IN THE HIGHMIDS

Igual para mim
Track one was a little harder
The difference is there, but negligible.
For me,guitar A has a little more shine than guitar B
