Hi Taylor. Between the Hotone II Stage and the Headrush Core, which one do you recommend based on your experience? I play Rock/Metal/Heavy Metal. I used to have to carry one of my boogie Mini/Dual/Triple head to every show but now I'd like a good sound in a compact pedalboard that I can carry in my backpack. I would also like to have some alternative sound output.
-there used to be a question here- Was too quick with the question! Exactly the video I needed. Anyone know more modellers that can jack no IR and XLR with IR (in the same pricerange)?
It sounds fantastic through the cab, but those IR's sound like fizzy shit though. As long as you don't need to go direct out or use a modeled cab, it's a go!
Have you ever made an impulse response of your pedal poweramp/cab/mic ? Then when you are doing these demos you can load your cab sound right into the unit? You can make one with the axefx3 in about 15 seconds.
Hey Taylor, question for you, 1) Do you get to keep the modelers sent to for review or do you have to return them? 2) Out of the many modelers you have reviewed in the last +12 months which ones stood out to you as being pretty good to use for gigging, busking, home use, just a great all around unit besides the expensive ones (Fender Tone Master, Neural DSP, Helix etc.. )?? If you had to gig with one which of cheaper ones would you use? Sorry for the long winded question. The only way to achieve that is by amplifying the sound and put a mic right in front of the amp? or is there a way to get rid of the digital sound directly recording the Ampero 2 sound? NEVER... Just kidding.. I do it sometimes. I like a good clean ambient tone on occasion, theyr're just usually towards the end of the videos because most people want the chugga chugga
Wow, compared to your real speaker and mic, built in speaker sims sounds like cr*p, at least in this example. Is this another unit that has great modeling of everything except speakers? Hopefully they don't take a million years to fix it, like it took L6 for Helix. Or, maybe it just needs more tweaking.
In fairness, If I was listening with the cab IR, I probably would dial it a bit differently, but cab simulation on any modeler is kind of meh in my opinion. They all have IR loaders though for the most part, so you can just load up your own Cab IR and have something you like.
Looked like the one of the Celestion cab IR that are bundled with the unit. I personally don't like Celestion IRs as I find that they sound thin/shrill, which is exactly what the recording showed. Imo, the built-in cabs in the Ampero II sound better than the Celestion IR, but I personally use York Audio IRs.

Two questions: can you do a more in depth video on using this pedal? I love your approach to gear.
Also can you do a in depth review on your Peavey 60w Tube amp?!?
Nice review. What power amp pedal are you using to power your cab?
It's called a higher power from This Heavy Earth Effects
Can you make a vs with this model against the flamma fx200?
Not getting very good crunch like that out of the one I just bought. Any suggestions? Running Shecter Damien c-7 FR into a powered speaker. No effects loop. Wt? Just any pointers would be nice. So I am going to do exactly what is done here and comment. Otherwise I am sending this back and aiming at a Amp 1 Iridium. Thnx for any comment if any. I might run it FX loop into Hughes and Kettner tubemeister 18 or sell it all and get a kemper IDK yet. I think this thing has promise. (Excuse possible TMI.) I got auditions.
What power amp were you using?
awesome bro
Finally!!
Have you tried the best budget ir / amp. cab modler on the market ; the m vave cube
does it have a tone capture? i like lamb of god, metallica, panterA TONES
Hi I heve unit but I couldn't use my phone or tablet to control it by Bluetooth. Could you plese suggest me the procedure? I tried many times... thanks
Can someone enlighten me what the background track starting at 6:51 is. Got somehow stuck in my head. Thank you.
Are the distortion the same as the mini
Bless you! 😂
Can we model our own amp and pedals in it?
hey taylor can you tell me where you got the stand for that ampero 2
everyone wanted to compare this and the mooer in the comments on that vid, the first IR on this vid was far better... to the point where I find it imposs to think it's due to the device, A head to head would be sweet.
How does it compare to hx stomp?
What poweramp are you using?
Thats the exact same packaging the quad cortex has haha like they just ripped it off 1:1😅
Why do people doing "to camera" have mutiny cameras??
Nobody is interested in the SIDE of anyones head!
😒
Я правильно понял, что на нем нельзя просто отключить эмуляцию кабинета в настройках, не меняя схему???
Если это так, это полный бред.
I love your channel…
Great quality, great content…
But PLEASE do some occasional clean tones.
You always immediately try to dial in the heaviest metal tone you can find, which I understand is your preference, but the rest of us have no idea how the products sound for a variety of music.
I’m sure I’ll get slammed for this….
NEVER... Just kidding.. I do it sometimes. I like a good clean ambient tone on occasion, theyr're just usually towards the end of the videos because most people want the chugga chugga
Ho tone or hot tone? Hot one?
Both
Taylor, I love your vids but.... I don't play what you play 🥺
Sounds badass. They'll always be Hoe-Tone to me...
Is there any sound difference between ampero 2 stomp and ampero 2 stage?
No. Same processor.
Nice….package, hotone. 😂
@@RicHSAD2 Totally agree.. Celestion IR's are missing the grunt of the tone.. I use the Ownhammer IR's and they sound massive.
almost impossible to hear your explaintion using that room mic, bummer
What does your mom's cabinet sound like? 😂
👍👍👍👍
@700 bucks better i buy a Helix.
