@midnight347 my 60ft was a 1.99 and most f150's like mine are cutting 1.7's - 1.8's and getting down to 12.0 or even breaking into the 11's. I have upgraded rear shocks, front and rear diff braces, traction bars, and even tried a smaller diameter tires compared to my stock 20's with AT tires and the 60ft times stayed about the same. I'm just now learning that it's most likely a setting in the tune, something with torque limit but I'm not sure. Hopefully 5star gives me more info on it and sends a revision for improvement. With my suspension modifications I was assuming breaking into the 11's would happen
87 is terrible and should never been ran even in a stock car. You can only run 87 in a stock car it pulls the hell out of timing to keep the motor alive at 11:1. It's just not a good idea to run 87 I don't care what Ford says lol. It also gunks your fuel system up more.

I mean the reason is because the intake manifold is the main restriction to making more power it's also cheaper than cams which is the other main na restriction. Do them both together for best results particularly with a ported cj to get the most from the cams (you need cams, especially in a gen 1, to properly take advantage of what the cj can do which is why you see 18 manifolds not far behind on stock gen 1 cams it still don't match the cjs power curve and average power but it ain't far behind on on peak ecsp when used with gen 1 cams because the stock cams don't allow the cj to shine). Ported cj and cams ftw na. It's more expensive but it will be significantly faster than your typical fbo 18 manifold setup. It's also significantly cheaper than properly boosting one contrary to popular belief so its not a bad option. People don't realize how much quicker that setup is vs typical bolt on setups. The peak to peak comparison only tells part of the story. I seen a gen 1 car pick up 50 rwhp going from already having an 18 manifold to doing cj and cams it would be up alot more over a stock manifold car. The power curve extends out alot better and average power through a pull is significantly improved.

Imo, intake manifold is the best horsepower per dollar compared to other mods NA.
