Tempting but really wish it had the gas pedal/rotary UI. Maybe with an added medium mode so rotating the tail cap has Low/Med/High, and maintain the Low/High for tail.
I haven’t tried the SFs with the gas pedal style. I do like the rotary. I’m personally a fan of the tailswitch type myself but everyone has an idea of what they need. I feel like Fenix has something that may interest you! Goodluck!
Thinking about picking one of these up for my first high-end light (>$100). I was debating between this and the Modlite PHLv2 18350, but I'm leaning toward the Surefire since apparently the 18350 Modlites not actually dual-fuel, as they can't be powered by a single CR123. I'm also thinking about getting a Z68 tailcap to hopefully prevent the light from activating while in the pocket.
I’ve also tested this EDC1 with CR123, both button and flattop 18350s and even the Streamlight SL-B9 batteries and it runs. Can’t speak on the EDC2 but I’d assume it would work. Terrific light and can’t go wrong with this or a Modlite
@@KnifeNinjaEDC Just ordered an EDC1-DFT. I was looking at picking one up at a Scheels that I'm going to be stopping at this weekend, but they list it for $251. I found one on B&H Photo for just under $200, plus an extra Surefire 18350 and a pack of 12 SF 123As. Total cost was the exact same amount as what it would have cost for just the light at Scheels.
Convoy also offers forward clicky switches. This SF would have been better with the two stage low/high momentary switch. I think SF is quite overpriced like many other US brand flashlights.
I saw some modify their s6 and such with the switch but seems like a bit of work unless there is an easier method. I get it. But I like surefires better protected electronics. It’s my “duty” style light. Wanted something more rugged than a simple aluminum tube that holds the guts of a light. To each their own. Bought it and carry it for a reason
Just got this exact one on your recommendation. Very happy with it. 😊
Dude enjoy! You got one hell of a light
I just got the EDC2 and it's almost embarrassingly bright lol. The construction of the SureFire flashlights is just top notch though.
Happy to have found your channel. I first saw your comments on fb.
Thanks man! Sorry it took so long for me to reply. I’m horrible at social media hahaha
Is turbo mode automatically on when you press the button?
beasty flashlight.

@@cesarcesar5129current SF lights with the vaunted "gas pedal" tailswitch are the EDCL-1T and 2T. Excellent UI.

@@dividualist I grabbed mine from Bereli for $150. They still had some at that price yesterday. EDC2s went up to $190

Are the heads potted on these? If you mentioned it during the video I’m sorry dude!!
Surefire uses conformal coating and uses connector pins instead of lead wires. Their products are robust.
SF makes the best lights.. only other light comes close are the Mod lites. Imo SF has better throw, mod has better flood
Lol i got the same thing going with mine but i got the edc2 body and ed1 head for more runtime.
I wanna grab a Modlite 18650 body soon to do the same
@@KnifeNinjaEDC my only issue is the threads are super easy to mess up. I got the modlite 21700 for extra runtime.
@@adanma17 on the modlites?
@@KnifeNinjaEDC no surefire threads, modlite threads are thicker I believe.
@@adanma17 gotcha. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a SF handheld. Will def have to keep an eye out on it
