What the heck is Anduril and why would I want it on my flashlight???
Переглядів 71216 годин тому
This video goes over some basics and concepts of the Anduril 2.0 software that runs some flashlights. Some think it’s useless and complicated, others may find it fun and enjoyable. Either way I figured I’d briefly go over it.

Grabbed my first Fireflylite flashlight. This model is the Comet X4Q with the FFL351A LEDs in 5000K. Great neutral high CRI beam! Lots of extras in the box as well. Ships with a good quality Samsung 21700 battery as well!

I love the size and throw of my Surefire EDC1-DFT flashlight but wanted an option to utilize a 18650 battery for longer runtimes. For about $40, this Weltool BB3 body and TC59 tailcap seems to do the trick!

The vid was interesting, but the brand name of the gun should have been mentioned, even though it looks like a Ruger trademark on the hammer shroud.

Solid video. Be careful dry firing so much. I've seen damaged chambers because of the rimfire hammer strikes.

It’s been hard to not carry it. It’s been on the same charge since I got it and still st 3.6V. If you’re in a very secluded wooded area it may be a tad underpowered but more than enough light. I’ve dropped it over 30 feet on concrete and still ticking. Their LumeX1 driver is legit, very efficient. I think this or their Stellar would make an awesome all purpose edc light.

I am seriously considering a 22lr for carry because of the cost of training vs 9mm.

a 250 pound crack monster from the Bronx who is high on PCP vs a .22 you would have to be a decent marksman to put it down the average shooter probably would choke and fall victim to its wrath its better to go pacifist and hide behind the police.

A 22 would never be my primary unless it was an exceptional situation. Sure, a 22 is deadly. And sure, if you can put all eight in someone's face, you're probably golden. But otherwise, it's not a stopper. And you "Did" make this a caliber debate by saying 9mm and 45 only punch little holes. Only if you're shooting something like FMJ, or poor quality ammo, will that be at all true. By the way, a knowledgeful firearm person knows that dry-firing a rimfire is not good for the firearm or the firing pin. I think you have a lot to learn. I respectfully disagree.

Thanks followed your tutorial. Can I ask with the new 519a 4000k driver Is it normal that a full click now works like a half click if done continuously. Like when turning it off and turning it back on again it goes through brightness levels unless I stop for a second before turning it on again.

Don't sweat carrying .22lr...a lot of the folks chastising you about it are the same folks who left their 9mm in the car, or at home...our current carry is .25acp, and we hear the same spiel...we have carried .22lr, always in a revolver...small holes are still holes, and nobody enjoys getting new ones...carry on...

people that have to shoot down your choice are always redditors that dont actually own guns, or are fuds. either way they both dont know what theyre talking about. 22lr was the mobs hitman weapon of choice for its abilities. i had a 22 Derringer over under break action as my first gun grandfathered to me. that thing was clunky but fucked.

Accuracy of fire is so important. With a deep conceal the firearms are so small that not a lot of grip to handle recoil of 380 ACP or 9mm. 22LR much easier.

I love revolvers.. 38 and 357 but those bullets have become expensive even the regular 50 pack of full metal jacket 38 it's gotten real expensive along with range time expense in targets going to be an expensive way the train so 22 makes a lot of sense

Yeah but the unreliable rimfire rounds are negated with a revolved. If the .22lr fails to fire the cylinder simply cycles to the next round without having the cycle of ejecting and positing another round. The cylinder simply skips over the failed round to the next one. Yes, you loose a round but the cyclical action of a revolver is actually much more reliable and requires less moving parts to fail. Yes, because of the size of cylinder it does make the revolver wider in size but more stubby in nature. That's why concealed carry revolvers tend to be in calibers that try to fit the most power, to accuracy and reliability into a smaller package that carries less overall bullets. Essentially part of your barrel is the bullet casing in itself. For instance .38SP is really just 9mm but longer and is extremely popular for revolvers. If I re recall the .38sp was created from shortening the .357mag. While the .38sp is basically similar to a 9mm long, somewhat.

I have had some "trouble" sharpening 121. It doesn't get super sharp, and it feels like a chainsaw. I think I just have to accept that it isn't like other steels. The fine edge goes away almost immediately, but the working edge lasts forever. It doesn't like to cut paper like most of us do to test our knives and I think it is just the chainsaw like edge from all the carbides.

Have you looked at hamre forged hook grips? Ive been eyeballing them myself as an alternative carry option. Just recently purchased a j frame in .32mag but would like a snub in 22lr or mag for practice as well as another carry gun option in the same size.

Don't let the haters bother you When someone starts pestering me about carrying a 22, I tell them it's my ear, nose, and throat gun 😂 One of the advantages of that little 22, as per Rhett Neumeyer, is due to the low recoil, live practice is not as important as it is with a higher caliber That means if it's raining like hell I don't have to go to my friend's property and be drenched and miserable trying to practice in the rain LOL At the end of the day proficiency with your firearm is more important than what caliber it is

Well, I use this knife as my EDC almost 2 years. Not as tactical, just tool. To explain, I have Multiple Sclerosis, heavy one, can not walk without crutches, this little knife is a hell cutter. I have many knives, was collector when I was healthy. But this one is awesome. Foodprep, opening packages, cutting everithing and very quick sharpening due to its short and thin blade. The knife costs round 3-5 bucks, the kydex sheath and titanium ball chain costs round 30-40 bucks, all at all, still the cheapest EDC knife and very very cutty. And I have really a lot of knives and neck knives.
