- This video shows the moment a police officer passionately yells "Free Palestine" at a protest in London - which has lead to her being investigated by Metropolitan Police. Thousands of people attended the pro-Palestinian demonstration in central London on Saturday, over the Israel-Gaza conflict. Metropolitan Police officers were manning the event, which remained largely peaceful for much of the day.

Whatever her political leanings while wearing that uniform a police officer MUST remain neutral. She is going to learn a very hard lesson as this footage is now being used in a formal complaint. I hope the people that egged her on are proud of themselves or is making a point more important?
The incident looks staged, pre-planned, the way the camera was focusing on her well before she began voicing was odd.
Similar happened on a much wider scale with a number of police officers “taking the knee”, totally in breach of their conditions of service. Has any action been taken against their conduct ?
She showed that she was weak, and that she knew she shouldn’t be doing it and done it anyway. I can’t see how they are not going to fire her. All the evidence is there.
@@timsmith2279 staged or not a police officer must remain neutral, this officer would have received full training and would have been fully aware of that fact. What would people be saying if she shouted "long live Israel"? It doesn't matter what political views you hold as a police officer once you put that uniform on you must be impartial.

A small diversion - Going back a few years in Stamford Hill, police cars were seen patrolling the streets with the words written in Hebrew. Wonder if that was connected with the police openly displaying support for Israel/Jews?

As a police officer, she should stand neutral, and no manifesting at all.
Clearly, this officer has forgotten that she is expected to remain impartial and to execute her sworn duty without fear or favour. No matter how 'just the cause may be, a Constable must be seen as an impartial and independent agent. This is another example of police officers nailing their colours to the mast and is unacceptable. No wonder public confidence in policing is waning.

Tbh I don’t give a shit anymore about what a Karen thinks. Certain types of people will never except you unless you cater to them or act like them. I can’t help but be an activist, whether it’s online or in the physical on the streets organizing with BLM organizers or not. With that being said I will always respect all three Abrahamic faiths but for me I can’t keep my self to be religious even though I tried. Islam became to political for me to be involved. Such a respectable religion though. I’m taking myself out of the religious realm for good. For anyone who’s born Muslim though, stay Muslim, anyone born Jewish, stay Jewish, anyone born Christian, try and respect and give your allegiance to the pope.

I am against an officer taking sides at a protest like that, which she did. However I forgive her because I don't think it's fair to punish an officer for something minor like this. She was human, and made a mistake, like we all do.
Meanwhile up here in Norfolk officers carry out far worse actions all the time, often resulting in them getting no further action. When the odd officer is found guilty of misconduct, they almost always get a slap on the wrist e.g. management advice, and nothing more than that. Meanwhile people like me get a criminal record and the book thrown at them over far less. It's one rule for the Police, another rule for the rest of us.
From what I've heard IDF soldiers carry out far worse actions in the West Bank, and not only constantly get away with it, but that it is also an institutional part of how the IDF operate in occupied territories. They're enforcing what is supposedly a "temporary" military occupation over Palestinian territory, which begun in 1967 and has lasted for 54 years so far. That doesn't sound temporary to me!

What's really serious is Jeremy Corbyn openly showing support and sharing a platform with terrorist organisations. I have no issue with the policewoman showing her allegiance privately but you can't do it on duty on a march. Police have to be seen to be neutral when on duty or lose all trust. It's unfortunate but her her judgement will always be questioned because of that display of bias.

she was in full uniform, on duty. police officers HAVE to remain neutral, no matter there personal opinion, in order to serve to public and uphold the law.
