One thing that's really cool with Life Will Change is that for a large chunk of the game, it's used in the build up to the finale for each chapter. But, it's an instrumental only version. Then after a certain point, it fires up again and suddenly it has lyrics.
The reason for this is that as the interrogation in the game goes on and the drugs wear off, the protagonist starts to remember things more clearly, hence lyrics being added to a few of the core songs over time.
I still remember the week when persona 5 came out I couldn't get "Wake up, Get up, Get out there", "Life will Change", and "Rivers in the Desert" out of my head for weeks or maybe even months! Lol! Persona osts are too good. One of my favorite lines, that you pointed out too, is the "I'm just as real as, I'm just as dangerous, As you, so know you'll find!". Something about that just sounds so raw to me (if that makes any sense).
@@Abawhani I am a living god tho, because I did finish the game withing a week... with a lot of sleep deprivation and my mom getting Aria of the Souls glue in her head so much she would sing it while cooking lmao
Keep Your Faith/Throw Away Your Mask combined is honestly my preferred way of listening to this song. The guitar riffs on Keep Your Faith is just absolutely amazing.
The connections between Wake up, Get up, Get out the and Life will change are one of the coolest things about the game. Wake up Get up is like a call to action "if you hold on, life won't change", it plays during the opening of the game, life will change is the answer to that call, It plays when you are actively making that change happen "cause we know that life will change" they're no longer holding on they're "out there swatting lies in the making". There's actually a 3rd part to this leitmotif in the song I Believe from persona 5 Royal. I recommend you Check it out.
My interpretation is because of the start of each song's chorus. WUGUGOT has "Just imagine we're out there" while Life will Change has "So you know that we're out there". I take this to mean that WUGUGOT is more like the theme song of the Phantom Thieves as an idea. The people believe in the thieves to save the day eventually and that belief is what inspires and gives them strength. Life will Change plays when the thieves are taking action finally and especially in Qliphoth world. They arent an idea anymore, theyre here and theyre going to take the heart of anyone who tries to abuse their power to hurt others or all of humanity. The entirety of LWC is a lot more direct to show this too. To summarize, WUGUGOT is the theme of the thieves as an idea and LWC is the theme of the thieves in their actions.
"Can't hold on or life won't change" The "can't hold on" part is important as well as just a couple lines later "Now we know that life will change" which iirc is not in Wake Up Get Up Get Out There, which is the opening theme for P5, so Life Will Change is after of course.
One of the best things persona 5 does is hyping up the moments before a boss fight in every palace. This song, imo, gets my energy flowing every time I prep myself before the fight. And Speaking of boss fights, "Blooming Villain" is a boss theme which I HIGHLY recommend, as well as the other peoples suggestions (I Believe, Throw Away Your Mask) :D Keep it up!
The song "i believe" from Persona 5 Royal is like a sequel to this song, it plays a lot with some of the tunes, lyrics and aspects of life will change, you might be able to tell, i highly recommend it

Since you liked this, I cannot recommend enough that you listen to “I Believe” from Persona 5 Royal. “Life Will Change” plays during the final assault on each dungeon in the game, and “I Believe” is a souped up version of that for the dungeon added to P5 by Royal. It is, in my opinion, the single best song from any Persona game soundtrack.
Life Will Change as is evident is a remix of the opening of base Persona 5, Wake Up Get Up Get Out There. However unlike that song, it isn't focusing on the bad and good in equal measure. It's focusing on the confrontation of. Fitting then that where this song plays is after you clear out a route to the "Treasure" of a "Palace" (which only makes sense why I'm putting in quotations with context so just roll with it lol) and decide to enact the heist of said "treasure" before the deadline is over, always climaxing with a bossfight against said "Palace's" owner. a true confrontation of good and evil in a robin hood-esq way many overlook, just like the song. And also why unlike the rest of the game, whenever Royal came out, this song got a sequel. But I get ahead of myself.
I always thought of Life Will Change as kind of a sequel to Wake Up Get Up Get Out There. One has the chorus in present/future tense while the other has it in past tense. I think it makes even more sense when given the context of when both songs are played. Awesome vid 🧢👍🏽
I hear Life Will Change and suddenly I want to replay P5, it's been about a year and half since I last played through it so I'd say it's been long enough.
Great video. Life Will Change it's so amazing, and when she appears inside the game... It's a magical experience. Best of all, P5R brought "Life Will Change 2.0" with I Believe. Persona's music is so amazing... AAAAAAAAA I LOVE IT SO MUCH!
YES, Life Will Change is basically a reprise of Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There, and its so cool that you noticed!! Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There was the opening song of the game, and Life Will Change plays at the climax of every arc right before the boss fight- it does an awesome job at reinforcing the big themes of the game and getting you super pumped for the arc boss. Here's the comparison of both songs' choruses: From WU,GU,GOT first chorus- "Just imagine you're out there Swatting lies in the making Can't move fast without breaking Can't hold on or life won't change" From WU,GU,GOT second chorus: "Let your voices ring out, yeah Take the mask off and be free Find yourself in the debris If you hold on, life won't change" Life Will Change first chorus: "So you know that we're out there Swatting lies in the making Can't move fast without breaking Can't hold on or life won't change And our voices ring out, yeah Took the mask off to feel free Fought it out in the debris Now we know that life will change" The second LWC chorus is basically the same, with a few small word changes. It's really neat! Also, the "life will/won't change" thing is basically saying that if you refuse to let go of your current life, then nothing will get better ("If you hold on, life won't change"). You have to take a risk and step out of your comfort zone, because if nobody tries to change anything, then of course nothing will ever change. A lot of people are willing to sacrifice positive change for the sake of maintaining their personal stability- they believe that if things need to get better, then somebody more qualified will handle it. But thats a fallacy of bystander mentality, and that's what these songs are pointing out with those lines! If you want things to change, then *you have to change things*, plain and simple.

I'll try to describe the context without spoilers or explanations about the game too much: "Wake Up Get Up Get Out There" is the intro song for the game, so it comes first. The context of *this* song in the game is that, it replaces combat music when you progress enough in a chapter that your characters are sure that life, infact, will change with this last push. It's sort of a triumphant energy boost before you get to face a boss.
One of my favorite things about the music in this game (and maybe other Persona games too, but I'm less familiar with them) is the fact that MANY of the songs have common leitmotifs that I feel really add a cohesion and sense of familiarity to the atmosphere
This, throw away your mask, rivers in the desert and I believe, are top tier. That game might just be the greatest I’ve ever played. And I’ve played Chrono Trigger!
Nice, I really enjoyed all of P5 music as well when I played it. For the future I suggest looking into the Persona 5 Strikers music, especially the originals from it line Counterstrike and Daredevil. They just turned things up to 11 and beyond ^^
It's between this and Last Surprise for my favorite P5 track. This song is just so hype, I love it. And the neat thing is, you don't actually hear the lyrics until you get to one of the later Palaces (dungeons) - not saying who because spoilers, I know there are people who haven't played P5 yet and spoiling it would be criminal. But this is the song that always plays whenever you enter a Palace for the last time to steal the ruler's treasure.
The way I interpret these two songs is that because Wake up, Get up, Get out there plays at the beginning of the game, its lyrics reflect the singer (and as the game progresses, eventually the protagonists) trying to motivate others to fight against society and stand up for themselves (Persona 5's main theme is 'Rebellion against the injustices of society' so examples of villains would be corrupt ceo's abusing power, etc.) and Life Will Change is sung from the point of view from the protagonists, after finally gaining the power to stand up to these injustices, towards these villains, hence the 'I'm just as real as, I'm just as dangerous, as you' 'As our power grows, trying to stop us shows (you) might as well go try'n stop time' It's the theme song of a people who now know who they are and know how to stand up for themselves. Almost every line reflects these themes in some way.
I wish people would give him small context of where the song plays with the request just so he gets a general idea of the gist what these songs accompany.
With the genre discussion, I've often heard Persona 5's music referred to as acid jazz, which takes elements of funk, soul, hip-hop, jazz and disco. I actually think that's (somehow) a little restrictive for P5's overall soundtrack, which also takes a lot of punk rock and even bossa nova cues at times. I guess the real takeaway is that it's insane how eclectic the soundtrack is while still being so cohesive.
Wassup, subbed to your channel recently, great stuff! There's certain VG Soundtracks that are very special...Persona 5 music is on a top tier level in my book. I've never heard anything so FONKY in my life while playing a video game. It's one thing to experience the FF7/FF7R score...because it's Epic but Personas music is like lightning in a bottle waiting to come out and zap you! Just a humble request, check out music from the game Hades by Supergiant Games...the tunes in this game are phenomenal! 🇨🇦🔥🎮
Wake Up, Get up, Get out there is sometimes called Life Will Change 2, cause while Life Will Change shows up early and reoccurs often, Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There shows up towards the end and not only picks up lyrical themes, but takes its place entirely.
I'm thinking of making a playlist of Jesse reacting to Persona songs. It will probably be organized in the order in which the videos were published. Thoughts?
Idk if you made it already, but I'd say to make it so that it follows the order from the game, with Take Over either after Last Surprise to keep the small fight themes together or after Color flying high to have Royal songs after the og P5 songs. Since the songs are also progressing through the story, you know?
It's not a game I'm not a robot A.I. challenging you I'm not a phantom I'm in your face and I'm here to see it through Right before your eyes Watch us multiply Come to claim our rights It's time As our power grows Tryin' to stop us shows Might as well go try'n Stop time So you know that we're out there Swatting lies in the making Can't move fast without breaking Can't hold on or life won't change And our voices ring out, yeah Took the mask off to feel free Fought it out in the debris Now we know that life will change Ain't it a shame I'm not a figment Of your ailing old mind I'm just as real as I'm just as dangerous As you will soon find A taste of your own meds Fire in every breath Fire inside your head Your heart And as your crippled brain Tries to fight in vain Your empire will fall apart And you'll know that we're out there Swatting lies in the making Your empire for the taking Can't hold on or life won't change And our voices ring out, yeah Took the mask off to feel free Fought it out in the debris Now we know that life will change
I love the persona 5 ost and Lyn(?) Does a great job singing but its very hard for myself at least to understand the lyrics. I have to listen to covers to understand the lyrics. Sapphire's covers are great.
Fun fact about metal heads: we don't like metal. We like music with well constructed chord progressions, key signatures and changes, time signatures, dope ass rhythms, and killer melodies. We don't really care about the exact genre of music. Yeah sure metal often gives us that, but anything that meets the criteria is great and we love it.
So, Persona 5 is based around the Phantom Thief motif, with each of the characters' personas being famous thieves - Arsene Lupin, Goemon, Captain Kidd, etc - and this is the theme of putting these big larger than life heists in motion. Like, imagine sneaking around a casino in Vegas, creeping around the rafters while various mythological creatures/gods patrol beneath you. I highly recommend giving Persona 5 a shot, though I would personally suggest going for the original version over Royal. (Some of the added content in Royal kinda ruined a couple character arcs if you ask me)
Ese atuendo me vuelve loco Virginee.Uno loco contigo y tienes ese cuerpo curvilíneo, hiciste un buen trabajo modelándolo también. También me gusta el último atuendo. Me encantan cómo los cinturones de liga se.

The real banger is listening to P5, P4 and P3 OST, then realizing PQ2 mixes them all
I wish people would give him small context of where the song plays with the request just so he gets a general idea of the gist what these songs accompany.
Waaaaait a second. This wasn't requested earlier? How come? Haha
I guess the real takeaway is that it's insane how eclectic the soundtrack is while still being so cohesive.
with a little bit of synth-pop

Wow I can't believe this one is JUST being done with how much you love persona. Arguably the best persona song
i see you playing this game and enyoing the music for hours...
Best track in persona 5 and maybe the whole series.
I saw it Uncle Jesse, and yes, they are all bangers
lol
To quote a line from the One Piece dub, "So funky! I can feel that jive lightin' a fire in my soul!"
Let's gooooooooo
Oh my lord please reaction to the Persona 5 Strikers OST, especially Axe to Grind and Counterstrike
Here's hoping for more persona 3!!!
Listen to 'Layer Cake' from Persona 5, that stuff is freaking amazing
Do 'I Believe'. If you like this one, I Believe is the next progression.
2:40 here the song says "now we know that life will change", the line might be repeated again at another point
@@clemente3966 You have a point. I wasn't sure whether it should be in order of reaction or in order of progression.
this is the first sone you hear once you start a new game. My first persona game and i was hooked immediately
SO need to do persona 5- rivers in the desert. another great song for a very awesome game
He already did back in December: ua-cam.com/video/APZ-XOsfRHg/v-deo.html
Pretty sure he's already done it.
It's not a game
I'm not a robot
A.I. challenging you
I'm not a phantom
I'm in your face and
I'm here to see it through
Right before your eyes
Watch us multiply
Come to claim our rights
It's time
As our power grows
Tryin' to stop us shows
Might as well go try'n
Stop time
So you know that we're out there
Swatting lies in the making
Can't move fast without breaking
Can't hold on or life won't change
And our voices ring out, yeah
Took the mask off to feel free
Fought it out in the debris
Now we know that life will change
Ain't it a shame
I'm not a figment
Of your ailing old mind
I'm just as real as
I'm just as dangerous
As you will soon find
A taste of your own meds
Fire in every breath
Fire inside your head
Your heart
And as your crippled brain
Tries to fight in vain
Your empire will fall apart
And you'll know that we're out there
Swatting lies in the making
Your empire for the taking
Can't hold on or life won't change
And our voices ring out, yeah
Took the mask off to feel free
Fought it out in the debris
Now we know that life will change
Petition for Jesse to play P5 next anyone?
The bass riffs were one of the best parts of this soundtrack. It gets real slappy in some songs too
I love the persona 5 ost and Lyn(?) Does a great job singing but its very hard for myself at least to understand the lyrics. I have to listen to covers to understand the lyrics. Sapphire's covers are great.
Listen to some persona 4 songs lol, no clue what shes saying lol
@@Changanator Imagine that, you have a hard time understanding the lyrics of a song sung by a Japanese woman who doesn't speak any English.....
@@benmackie6322 it is a pretty wild concept yes!! 😂😂🤣🤣🤣😂
Please please please listen to “unbreakable tie” from persona 2 and “let butterflies spread until the dawn” from persona 1
My favorite ost from persona 3 is Heartful Cry ! Check it out !
You should play persona 5 on stream next
Can someone request for Bardock's theme in DRAGON BALL FIGHTERZ 🙏🙏🙏

You should react to "The First Disciple" from Destiny 2. It will change your life. I promise.
Still haven't reacted to Last Surprise?
Now do Jaldabaoth.
You need to react to some Nier Auotomata songs
Lmao Channel 3
I HOPE you will react to some Danganronpa ost
May i request? Please react Tales of Zestiria Opening games ✨
Fun fact about metal heads: we don't like metal. We like music with well constructed chord progressions, key signatures and changes, time signatures, dope ass rhythms, and killer melodies. We don't really care about the exact genre of music. Yeah sure metal often gives us that, but anything that meets the criteria is great and we love it.
please i beg do throw away your mask
So, Persona 5 is based around the Phantom Thief motif, with each of the characters' personas being famous thieves - Arsene Lupin, Goemon, Captain Kidd, etc - and this is the theme of putting these big larger than life heists in motion. Like, imagine sneaking around a casino in Vegas, creeping around the rafters while various mythological creatures/gods patrol beneath you. I highly recommend giving Persona 5 a shot, though I would personally suggest going for the original version over Royal. (Some of the added content in Royal kinda ruined a couple character arcs if you ask me)
I was sick of those FFXIV soundtracks, this felt good. I'd like to see Whims of Fate reaction aswell.
Ese atuendo me vuelve loco Virginee.Uno loco contigo y tienes ese cuerpo curvilíneo, hiciste un buen trabajo modelándolo también. También me gusta el último atuendo. Me encantan cómo los cinturones de liga se.
question, do you think your ego is greater than your talent?
