can't really compare rel life to ACC imo, in this video you can feel the weight of the car withoug any kind of ffb, but in hte game, tehre is no such feeling
Question David - After a pit stop or maybe a spin and stall on track, I know drivers use the clutch to start up but do you have to use the clutch to engage first gear and/or reverse also. 🤔 thnx for the vids and all the luck this year (whenever it gets started 🤷♂️)
This looks like the new gear ratios gave it some much needed punch out of the corners (is the transition speed from 5th to 6th more or less the same as before, or am I just hyped ?), even better brakes than before (T1 braking point is erm ... infernally close Oo), and even better handling . My guess it you had a whale of a time spanking that car ^^ Stay healthy and good luck for your season, Dave, I´m massively looking forward to watching you race besides racing the 488 in ACC . P.s.: Let´s hope Kunos gets this beast into ACC ASAP
You guys must be running softer dampeners. Because when I go over the curb on the right hand side in turn 3, the car wants to spin. But it could also be my throttle input as well. What lap times are you guys running and how is it compared to Assetto?

Man wish I could ride kerbs like that in most simulators, dunno why but in sims kerbs tend to upset the car real bad and for me it feels a little off. Really enjoy these onboards, please keep it up and good luck this season!

I have the feeling it's a tiny bit smaller than the real thing.. Just in case you happen to come across the exact height and width of it, I'd be curious to learn abou it..

Quick question, after the straight you have 2 right turns and then a left, on the left turn I noticed in your hotlap you kept at gear 3, on the other 2 laps you changed momentarily to 4th, which hear do you feel you get a bit more speed in?
It's hard to tell how the BOP will be before we have even seen a race, but I also thought every car had a fair chance at winning the race to be honest.

Dave - Great video as always! The video makes it look like you're quite close to the wheel and dash. Is that just because of the camera or are you actually that close? Just trying to compare with the default view in ACC for the 488 where it looks like the driver sits quite far back.

GT3 is among my most favorite racing class, and I'm looking forward to the GT Open and the Blancpain GT series (if they'll still be there this year...). Yes with the long straight. 274kph or in the 911's slipstream even 279kph. Very sweet. It is not so easy to now for me where to position the car in some cornes at this track. So thx Dave this helps me a lot to learn the track in ACC.

It says "drivers eye" but its a wide angle lense. How is this actually what the drivers see from their seated position? Im trying to find a video that doesn't use wide angle lenses and shows true to life what is seen from the drivers perspective.

Yes I do, clutch is for engaging the gear before pulling away. Once you're moving you don't use it.

In ACC you cannot ride the curbs, they're not forgiving enough. In real life if you miss the curbs you're off the pace.

I think it’s 30.5cm with the padding of the handles taken into account. 29.5cm could be the correct answer though.

Shifting to 4th was just a bad habit, it should be revved out in 3rd.
Paul Ricard has so much Run-off. If you crash in the dry due to driver error it must be a tough one to explain to the boss.
It’s easier than you think (no, I haven’t crashed). But it’s the perfect track for testing because you can push soooo hard.
Play Assetto Corsa comptizone and compare the difference between in game features and real life wot shear position all of that
