Never seen anyone use the Denman brush the way you do. I tired to use it like that the twist or whatever its called it took a minute all I have to say is THANK YOU!!! for the first time in my life I have ringlets.

I really like the five row side! Both are gorgeous but the five row side looks a l it the bit more shiny

Me too! I see a huge difference between the two sides; the right definitely had larger clumps. I bought the 9 row brush online and am excited for it to arrive so I can play with it too!

I'm so glad I came across this video. I bought a Denman brush a couple of months ago. Didn't really know what to do with it. Thought it was for Distributing product . Now that I know what to do with it very happy. I had already taken out every other row based on another video someone who didn't actually use it how it was supposed to be. And I actually do like that side of your hair a little better...

If anyone is wondering the dupe I found is the Cantu Basic Detangling Brush, I found it at Target for $7.99! It's the matte black one but they also have a gray and red one with less bristle rows also for $7.99.

I've been struggling to use my Denman... until I saw your technique! That's how I used to curl my hair with a flat iron when I used to (*GASP*) heat style my hair. THIS I can do! Thank you so much! Also, your curls are gorgeous!

You have beautiful hair! I just do this to the Denman brush for the first time during my last wash and My Curls looks so much better. There's nothing like your curls, but they did look a lot more defined. Now I just have to figure out how to make the top more curly, too.

Helpful video!!! I'll try the 5 row sometime! I just got my brush today and though I didn't brush it like you did, it still gave my hair more volume than before. Will do it using your technique :)

I wonder what is the difference if you use the 7 row one vs the 9 row! Since you wouldn't need to take rows out...I wonder if the end result would vary!

So glad I stumbled onto this video! You convinced me to give this brush a try, your technique looks easy enough for me to try. I wasn't keen about all that brushing and finger coiling, but this looks like a good middle point for me! Also, not only do you sound like Jennifer Lawrence, you kinda look like her too ;p

I just got my 9 row denman today, I wish I had seen your video before I did my hair! I just brushed it straight and then scrunched....your method is so much better. would you say you are 3a or 3b or 3c curls?
