Good videos Gareth. A lot of cycling channels are just the presenters riding around and talking about themselves, not about where they are riding , the history of the places that they visit or points of interest etc. You and Mr Daz p1.are the exceptions Great stuff, more of the same please. Hope you get more subscribers though.
Hi Gareth just found your channel. I live in Cleveland just down the road from you. I fancy doing the Waggonways cycle routes. Can you direct me as to where I can get information/maps etc on them? Cheers, Dave
Ha, ha - why would you leave a bottle unfinished? It’s a disadvantage with the extreme flare on the bars - tends to mean the tips come in contact with whatever wall I lean it against and the plugs work their way loose.
Watergate Park was a huge slag heap, it was a mess, it was not originally a nature reserve. Back in the early 2000s it caught fire, due to compression of Coke, coal & slag. The NCB still have a an obligation to sort our legacy mining issues. So. Watergate Park was created.
Very interesting tour. Love the choice of music too.
Looks very fun I always like to ride it :)👍
Those gates are an absolute pain, my bomber bars just fit 🤣

Thanks, Sam, glad you enjoyed them. For me it’s just a hobby so I don’t do the ‘like and subscribe’ thing!
My home town..... And Tanfield railway runs past my (now) home.

Hi Dave - strava link in the description will give you the route. Unfortunately there’s a detour on for the tunnel under the A1 at the mo’
Loving the cork in the handlebars. Is that the emergency one in case you don't finish the bottle of wine? 😉

What's the rail route north of the Tyne?
It's the Stephenson Museum line at Silverlink
