Piper never built one like that! Looks great Cole. It takes longer to do the finish right than the rough build. Keep taking your time, if you get in a hurry and short something you'll see it forever, even if no one else does. Someday your grand kids will be looking at that airplane and memories of you like you do your grandad.
Awe man....I really do appreciate it. I apologize for it taking me so long. I’ve had a LOT go on in the past couple of years that’s slowed me down a lot. Between taking a few months off to spend with Grandaddy before he past. Then taking 4 months to build my new shop and other things. Then I lost my best friend last week. My big Golden Retriever RoJo. 😢 He past due to a freakin flea pill that I gave him that day at 12:30pm and he died when I got him to the vet at 4:45pm that same day. 10-13-20 😢 This past week and half has been the hardest time I believe I’ve ever had. He was by my side 24/7. He would have been 7 last Saturday 10-17-20. 😢
Yes sir! Looks awesome. Great tribute under the door. Can’t wait to see the 85 on it. Have you thought about putting a portable battery in it for GPS/transponder?
Looks beautiful Cole. I hate to know how many hours you have in this restoration so far. Is the engine ready to bolt in yet?It looks better than new your Grandfather would be proud buddy! God Bless!!
Man there’s no telling How many hundreds of hours I got in it. Lol. I always go the extra mile when I do things to try n make it as perfect as I can. Yes sir the engine is ready to bolt on. It’s a brand new C-85-8 sitting on the pallet in the shop. 😁👍🏼 Thanks for the kind words. I’m sure Grandaddy would LOVE IT. 😉
