Cole Emmerson Hallman I got to hang out with him outside Studio 7 after Animals' show and he is one of the most down-to-earth and genuine people I've ever met. We smoked a joint together and just shot the shit. It was awesome to be able to meet one of the drummers that I idolize deeply and just hang out with him like he was my best friend.

ThunderHawk606 you should practice humming music, it helps in your playing and writing. I hum rhythms out the way he did when I'm trying to figure out a transition or what's playing in my head.

Being able to vocalize pretty much exactly one hundred percent percussion music is HUGE in helping develop skill. Check out the tablas, the Indian drum. It's ALL taught with vocal phrasing and they go as fast as any great metal drummer (it's just all on hand drums).

Stevie G I was thinking more like Evan Brewer. He doesn’t really seem to be doing much band wise anyway (at least as far as I know) and could make for a good fit for the bands wacky style.

This dude is serious. What a player. I met him one night in 2015. I met Matt one night, he was playing a jazz trio gig in a whiskey/cigar bar in downtown LA.. What a great night, and awesome show. He carried, and set up his drums.. I offered to help, he refused lol.. Such a genuinely nice guy, I got talk to him for about half an hour. I straight up told him I thought he was alien.. He says, "I'm no alien, I just practice everyday. You know who is an alien though?.. Tony Royster.. That cat can play"
It was such a surreal moment, really cool to meet people you look up to and they are human just like everyone else.. Peace all

People on my bucket list to meet in person, the main inspiration in my life. Me, being a drummer myself, is inspired to play that style of music, use his cymbal brand, use his drum brand, all of his personality in music is an influence.

Matt is such a top dude, my brother and I ran into him outside of a show with BTBAM and The Contortionist, and he was such a great guy to hang with for a few minutes. He has certainly helped AAL achieve the next level in not just incredible music but also an authentically fleshed out live performing band, which is proven in the last two records. Long live Garstka and AAL!

From interviews and other videos, I have found that a lot of people who like metal are so nice. I know some people who like metal and they are really nice.
That's just how it is in the real world, buddy, go find those dudes at shows and hang out with them!! Metal fans are the cooliest, and often the most intelligent, down to earth, kind people you'll ever meet.
Harrison Crutcher thats the stereotype about us, everyone thinks we are assholes, granted some are, especially online, im a metalhead and im nice as hell, and more importantly i dont bash on anyone with a different musical preference, music is music and should be enjoyed. there are alot of metal Elitist that give us all a bad name which sucks, it really does :/
