- 4-day route in the San Juan Range's Weminuche Wilderness. Los Piños River (~550 cfs) from Vallecito Simulator gorge through Lake Creek gorge, followed by a hike past Emerald Lake to reach upper Vallecito Creek (~500-450 cfs) at Rock Creek, paddled through the warm-up boofs for the classic gorge run. So far, separately, Packrafts have only descended the full Vallecito gorge at flows of 150 to 325 cfs.

Now this is livin! Nice work fellas.
badass dude
doing what other can only dream. Amazing
Nice! After all these years of exploratories, now we get to see which runs you feel are worth repeating
I think I've been into upper vallecito 6 or 7 times now, if that's a measure. Definitely more wood now than Ive seen before, but the best upper gorge section is wood free for the first time in 10 years at least.
On Vallecito, did you paddle past the point where the trail first drops down to the creek?
Just barely - there are two good drops there where you can still take out above entrance falls.
Are those Valkyries?
those are valkyries
@@jeffreycreamer Looks like you are getting great performance out of them--they cut hard into those little eddies. But the roll is still somewhat hypothetical, it seems ;)
