Wow, it’s wild to see how far you’ve e come in such a short time. I remember your first British units being sort of basic nutcracker soldiers with mustard colored canteens. Now your painting skills have certainly surpassed my own and I’ve got an art degree. I’m looking to add a couple of battalions of Brunswickers since I found out they were present in the Peninsular. Course, I realize Perry has some nice figures but always looking to do things on the cheap, I’ll be.looking to convert some plastic. Not sure where I’ll get the heads, which were much more like the French shacko than the stovepipe British or peaked Prussian. Bit of resin work for the plume, stuck on a Perry Britt painted black & that’s a reasonable facsimile. Memorial Day always makes me a bit sad. I used to visit the cemetery with family to put flowers out but it’s just too much for me now. So, I’m working on my 1798 Irish instead. Bravo the Last British Battalion! Hugs 😅

The issue for most British Guard and Line regiments is that the all look so similar. Highland regiments are the devil to pain in kilts and the Rifles are even more boring lol
I do wish the Guards had a bit more flavor like their French counter-parts. Don't even get me started on kilts 👍
You could try varying the pants colors, add patches, even the coats can be different shades of red/pink/madder/maroon
Surely a project like this is never finished - I mean for the british of course - I am pretty sure you will need to add more british as some stage hahaha - really looking forward to seeing how you tackle the white of the Austrians - I have a box of Austrians and two of spanish that are mostly white and have made a start on both but actually find them more difficult to get enough definition in the uniforms - will have to keep plugging away. I am nervous about painting the Austrians. White is very difficult to get done right in my opinion. I have a whole box of stormtroopers all primed up and ready that I haven't started yet just to reinforce that fact. Good luck with your guy's my friend. PS: Never say never right... 😁
@@basement1908 Oh yes Stormtroopers - I have a bunch as well and as a HUGE Star Wars fan they should be painted but I just haven't been able to commit to the white armor and the fine black details

There are a few good YT vids on how to paint the keiserlickts. They start with a medium grey base coat and lighten shades dry brushed on. They mostly just use the straight white for the belts.
