Hey Ben.. just watched the video. If I start taking things off the circuit boards like those little transformers and aluminum bits .will it lower the value of the circuit board ? Great stuff 👍!
True so a £5 motherboard will decrease to a 15p motherboard if you remove any components so unless you can get £4.85 in precious metals its not worth depopulating in my opinion i wish i saved all my boards to sell i lost out on quite a bit of money by depopulating my mid grades
Just gold plated unfortunately older they are thicker the plating is they have gold wire going under the ceramic/fibre too ram is good for gold content but you need alot
Ben Houghton so what parts are solid gold? I will probably sell all my plated gold on eBay, I'm not gonna do refining with chemicals. But grinding and get just gold out is a possibility.
Everything is plated if it was solid gold it would make the products too expensive they only need to transfer a current or data so they dont need to be solid anything after 2006 is super thin plated then before that the gold is much thicker, the older ic chips are more likely to have more gold too
I got like 50 lbs of gold fingers and will be going through this channel to get the gold off and refined. Thank you for the tutorial

Yes it will lower the price unless if you have a good, safe and efficient method of getting the precious metals out i wouldn't de-populate the boards
Thanks man .
If you pull everything of value from these boards, am I correct to assume you sell them all as low grade?
Thanks
