My grandma kept a dipper hanging on a tree limb at the spring on their farm in the mountains in North Carolina. Best and coldest water ever! Kept the watermelon in the creek by their house to keep it cold till we cut it also. Best time of my 67 years on this earth was on my Grandparent's farm.

Also down here in South Louisiana we use the big utensils, pots, and bowls for our cookouts. Because when we cook-out we cook-out! From boiled or fried crawfish, shrimp, crab, fish, gumbo, jambalaya, Etouffee, Creole, to a good ole barbecue! 😋
I use my big pot for boiled ham dinners & homemade soups etc. Those big utensils are great with arthritis. You can get the food from the bottom of the pot much easier.

I just love watching you. I’ve been struggling with getting older and going through the change. Have had a lot of anxiety about dying and other things cause feel like it’s all around me. Mamaw you touched my heart when you said your Mom was reaching for Jesus at her passing. My mom passed suddenly with a stroke right before she was still alert and I said I love you mom she said love you. We got into emergency room and she was reaching and pointing to Heaven! She knew our Lord and savior for all her life and I knew she was trying to tell us she was going home! ❤ gives my soul peace to know she’s waiting with Jesus. ❤

11:40 Mashing it takes an the juice out of it and it will be dry. To make sure it's completely cooked, turn the heat down and cook longer.
