I remember seeing this alk reading I think it is just a perfect example of stability and I think it is partly what corals you pick and how you acclimate them.
What a beautiful tank. It's inspiring to see how much this reefer has done in such a small space. This tank was a great find for the channel! Follow up videos on it would be cool to see.
I think you hit this one right on the head. I mean it goes to show not only can you be successful with those types of parameters but also each tank runs differently. You can set two tanks up with the exact same equipment and both might run just slightly different. What works for one person might not work for another though as well. Very cool though awesome tank.
My tank was looking its best for months so I didn't test. When I did it was 4.1! Raised it to 7.5 over a month, then it crashed and slowly lost all of my birdsnest. If your tank looks great don't mess with it.
Oh my, what a beautiful tank... It shows that he works a lot to keep this tank.... It is just too much work for me. I'd rather get into different hobby that will not enslave me.
I’ve been trying to keep my alk at 8.4 it drops with the corals around .75 a week but instead of dosing I do water change weekly , I use Red Sea salt to raise the alkalinity back up to 8.4 weekly which seems to work so far changing around 5 gallons in my 40 gallon tank weekly . I also was wondering using coral amino from brightwell I’ve seen some dose daily and some dose once a week is there any cons to dosing it on a daily basis I’ve been dosing it for around 3 weeks now every day the max amount for my tank size .
People who focus on corals tend to be worse at fish but usually can keep at least moderate level fish. People who focus on fish usually cannot keep most corals notice the difference. I focus on fish.

I’ve never seen a 24g waterbox, so nice. I have a 20g one, looks great! I’m doing lps since it’s my first reef but want sps in the future
THIS HAS TO BE ONE OF THE SHARPEST VIDEO OF A REEF TANK , GREAT LENS!!
