2:16 The sign on the server means that players in that server are not allowed to have a big "events" such as simulating track closure between stations, arranging a meeting with many trains parking in a station, etc because it will disrupt everyone as those 2 servers (EN1 & DE1) are the most active one with many players. So to keep everything flow nicely the admin put that warning there :D The NA server is rarely full and so English-speaking players would go to EN1 instead 5:10 The radio is a proximity chat but with channel like a radio, so if drivers or your neighboring posts are on your range and in the same channel as you, they can hear you if you talk with the function. Meanwhile, the phone is only for communication between you and your neighboring posts as of right now :D 12:55 The weather is dynamic but you know what's even cooler? The weather is real-time as it is in the route and injected into the game! 13:04 If you want to try the physics, try to drive a cargo train, it's rewarding :D 14:08 1 US & 1 German-Poland route has been confirmed. The US route is in the making by an external team. The devs also extending the current route to reach the city of Krakow
If you are into the signal box thing and like complex simulations, the Signalsoft "Games" might be your cup of tea. They are very detailed 2D simulations of mostly German signal boxes. Obviously, knowing German Railway terms helps, but I think they also have an English language version and documentation. Another thing is ESTWsim, which simulates more modern PC-based signal boxes like the simplified one you showed in SimRail, but they sort of rely on you reading the official documentation to the original software (available in German only to my knowledge).
